  1. I love all OA class. But for me, the slight preference for HM and SY is very superficial. I actually like the decor better on the two newer ships in the cabins and public areas. But I would sail any of them in a heartbeat.
  2. Braised Short Rib!!!! Another favourite! My dinners have seemed so unappetizing this week after following this blog!
  3. @KathyC aka KathLuvsGH I watched those scenes 3 times and I still couldn't find you or Tony! lol It's like a game of "Where's Waldo?" ? I will try to find you again later today. I'm going to show my girls parts of it. The ship parts since they are cruising Harmony for the first time in March. All in all, I thought the movie dragged for the most part. But every time ship stuff came on, I had the biggest smile on my face. And one of favourite CK waiters got major screen time!!
  4. I would have had all 3 (the first 3) of those desserts! Just sayin....?
  5. I think the last KSF promo ended July 31 or at the end of june.
  6. @2Beeze another thing I forgot to mention is that @Matt will always give notice of cruise planner sales and the duration on the main page here. Not this message boards section but the actual royalcaribbeanblog.com page. Also, if you are on FB, Matt will post on his FB page too (also called Royal Caribbean Blog on FB).
  7. I think what many are saying is that Cruise planner prices fluctuate wildly. Unfortunately, there is no predicting when a sale will happen, and when it does happen, there is always a time limit on it. Usually, it's a weekend sale. On some browers, a banner up top is visible with a countdown clock. On other browsers, it doesn't come up. It is true that some RC agents are better than others on the phone. I can sympathize with you as I have had my share of annoying ones to deal with over the years. Although not much can probably be done at this point, a tip for the future that many of us do is to go ahead and purchase on the cruise planner (even if there's not a sale) and then watch it. Or in your specific case, you could have purchased your excursion, then discussed with family, and then cancelled if you decided against it. You are able to re-price or even cancel (without penalty) up to 3 days prior to sailing. When is your sail date? Cruise planner sales pop up every few weeks or so. Keep checking back. There will likely be one for Labour Day....Don't let this ruin your vacation...you're in an owner's suite...that alone is really exciting!
  8. I have 2 sailings that are over 300 days out and it shows all the arrival and departure times. Have you tried viewing it on a different browser? I am able to see it while using Google Chrome and Safari....
  9. Basically, just keep checking your cruise planner. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Every sailing differs.
  10. That explains why it reminded me so much of San Juan when I watched your morning scope yesterday. Beautiful pics @twangster! I think you more than "did it justice".
  11. Well if his replacement is Marc Walker then it's a win-win either way...but I doubt it since Marc Walker will like be on vacation at the beginning of January. Keep me posted on whatever you hear.
  12. That's the beauty of AO! Don't miss the show yourself though. It was, IMO, the best show out of all of them (Cats, Mama Mia, Hairspray, Grease, We Will Rock You). They also usually do an afternoon showing at some point during the cruise.
  13. I am so ready!! Just got the notification last week that it is coming to Netflix Canada too!!! Can't wait to find you @KathyC aka KathLuvsGH
  14. It's an addiction....a very, very bad addiction. Welcome to Cruiseaholics anonymous ? And congrats on 30 years!
  15. The Gift is just weird...but totally family appropriate. We loved Spectra's Cabaret. It was a bit psychedelic but very entertaining. I thought it was fine for my kids who were 9,11 when we sailed. Younger kids will likely just be mesmerized by the dancing and all lights and special effects. We Will Rock You is PG I would say. To be totally honest, it is nothing that kids probably don't already hear on the playground. Being a teacher, I can vouch for that. However, depending on the age of your kids and your own comfort level, you might want to keep the kids out of this one. My kids did go, and we just had a quick discussion afterwards. There is no actual swearing but there was some language. The costumes were a bit more risqué than say Mama Mia, and there was one scene on a couch where the lights dim and you draw your own conclusions. That's about all I can remember.
  16. This was by far, a super funny thread! Reminds me of how much I love this RCBlog community
  17. Came across this earlier....this was the wording sent to TAs. “We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to our Non-Refundable Deposit Program, resulting from a review of booking analytics over the past year. Based on this research, the onboard credit earned when booking six months or more prior to sailing will no longer apply. This update will take effect on all new bookings made on or after November 1st, 2018.We are confident that this change will not impact your business. The Non-Refundable Deposit Program continues to offer the best pricing available — and will always be priced lower than the standard fare during brand promotions.”
  18. The next cruise OBC is still in play. It's just the extra $100 OBC that you get from booking a NRD more than 6 months out that they are doing away with.
  19. Woohoo!!!! Suite snobs unite! ? @Boston Babe, you should join us.....lol
