Thanks, I may have to try it that way for small things (such as wings)
Ok. Make sense, was trying to "accommodating" but I guess if they wanted the perks, they could have beared the expense as well. So I wont go that route, outside of if I just ordered a larger portion of something (Such as wings, instead of getting 10 for myself alone, I get 20 and we share). Heres a bit of a gray area for me. I have seen online that it says that Starbucks espresso drinks are not included in the Drink Pkg. However, I have seen others mention that they were able to go and as long as they didn't get their food there was no additional charges. Any insights?
Yes, you can all the Starbucks you want with Star class. Just not the food items. My daughter took full advantage of this particular benefit.

Looks like you are off to a great start Jane! Any luck with the Lavender tonic yet?

Wow! Did you need a special remote to access the different input for mirroring the computer? Or did the TV have a source button?
Yes, you can access the source in this cabin. That likely is not standard across all cabins. We could not access it in our Grand suite on Harmony back in 2017.

After eating in the WJ, we wandered onto the pool deck. It was busy but there were still chairs available if you looked.
Continuing on, we made our way to the Suite sun deck. Even on a sea day, no crowds up there.
The minor differences here compared to Harmony are the missing cabanas that Harmony has. Instead, there is this wide open, unshaded area if you are looking for full sun. Many have complained about this on periscope and other forums. I thought it was really windy here and in port this area is likely going to get really hot. Hubby liked it. He thinks it is great to have this wide open space.
This here is another area where the suite sun decks on OA class beats out Quantum class. The suite sun deck bar. And note, there are always chips here

After roughing it and experiencing Symphony’s WJ, I have come to 2 conclusions.
One is that Anthem WJ is still by far the worst in terms of traffic flow. Even the largest ship in the fleet has better traffic flow than Anthem, and this is on a sea day.
The second is that for a split second, I actually thought I was in Harmony’s WJ. The two are almost identical.
Hubby did say that he thought the newly revitalized WJ on Mariner and Indy were nicer in decor than Symphony.

You do realize you don't have to eat everything on the plate right?
I didn’t, and I still feel gross lol.

Johnny Rockets always seems like a good idea, until you are done.
That will likely be my last meal there.
Back in the cabin now and Hubby is awake. He has said the dreaded phrase, “Hey, let’s go the the WJ.” Oh...the things that we do for those that we love....
-
So where did my wandering bring me this morning?
To the Boardwalk where Johnny Rockets seemed like it would be a good idea. I tried to play Home Genie and get it “to go” so I could surprised Hubby with it. They would not accommodate that request. So it’s waiting for JR on my own this morning as I sit here to write this.
Interesting observation here is that on Harmony, I know that they allowed meals and snacks to go (not referring to room service). I have read a few blogs where people were able to take breakfast to go and D12 was able to get fries and onion rings in March. Not sure if that was because both cases were star class? But here on Symphony, they would not allow it. They said the food must be consumed at the venue. Oh well, Hubby’s lost, and my gain, literally, in the waistline
French Toast with “The Works”. Delicious

Day 3: At sea
”Each day we draft a new movement in our Symphony of life; what melody will you compose today?” - Ken Poirot
Woke up this morning to another beautiful, and sunny day. Another day at sea and again we have no real plans.
I decided to change it up a bit this morning. Headed to the suite lounge for a visit and to make my tea. The continental breakfast offerings there this morning are the same as yesterday.
I decided against CK breakfast, shocker I know, and headed down to Deck 4 to check out the Diamond for @Susie. This is what I found.
Very similar choices to the Suite lounge except the tea bags are a different brand.
I also found tonight’s MDR menu for anyone who might be interested.
Finding nothing interesting here, I decided not to stay.

I love vodka tonics. I wonder since they have the lavender daiquiris at schooner if they could make that. No trellis bar on my baby ship Jane
Ask. The bartender told me that as long as they have the syrup, it should be good.

What is a lavender tonic? Jane
It’s a drink that I discovered at Chops but they can make it at the Trellis Bar. It’s basically a vodka tonic with lavender syrup.

Dinner in CK tonight is the same menu as the rest of the fleet. For the menu, see my Anthem (March 2018) blog as I forgot to take a pic of it tonight. I also skipped the food pics as it was the same as I had Night 2 on the most recent Anthem cruise. You can see that one too for food pics.
Anyway, our night was more eventful than the day.
After dinner we went to watch Hiro. Wow! Fantastic show!! If we took the spinning guy from Harmony out of the equation, then Hiro is most definitely our favourite! The dancing on this show was on a whole other level! High energy all 50 mins. Great choreography and loved the theme. For those who mentioned that they did not care for Hiro as much compared to Oasis and Allure due to less diving and more theatrics, we prefer that and Hiro did not disappoint. We might go back to see it again later this week.
After the show we wandered aimlessly and started missing our GC friends. Craving a lavender tonic, we ended up at the Trellis Bar for one.
After that we sat in Central Park to enjoy some guitar melodies. Love this part of the ship at night.
A while later, the guitarist took a break and we wandered into Dazzles. We usually never visit this venue. It didn’t last long as we soon realized why we never visit this venue.
Moving on we wandered to the Promenade and ended up in the Schooner Bar. The pianist this sailing, Andy C is quite good. Not Billy Pando, but I still really enjoyed him, more than the guy on Anthem recently. We ended off the night here and decided to call it a night when young kids started jumping on the couches.

The OCD part of does not like this change on Symphony, which I had heard about when she first came out last year but forgot about until now. The sea pass cards are slightly different. On the other ships that offer the Royal Suite Class program, Sky Class gets a light plum coloured card. Here on Symphony, it’s blue, like the Sea Class ones in the other ships. Minor, but it bugs me.

Italian over Seafood...clearly you need to report to the medical facilities, as you've had too many lemon drop drinks an need an iv, it's effecting your food choice process? It's clearly we can't be friends
What can I say? The call of pasta is pretty strong, and Arancini is hard to pass up

Cheers to a super relaxing Day 2!
We spent the afternoon napping, which I never do. I think because the kids aren’t here for this one, I actually have time to do this. Another thing I was saying to Hubby was that usually it takes me a few days to totally relax on a cruise. This sailing, I was relaxed by Day 1. Not sure if that is due to the absence of children or because we just got off Anthem a few weeks ago. Either way, this is wonderful as I am hoping that by the time I leave next Saturday, I will feel that 7 nights were enough on Symphony. Wishful thinking, I know...
Dinner and then Hiro are on the agenda for this evening.

@Lovetocruise2002 69 day till we're on her...it will be our first time too. Do you have Hooked restaurant scheduled on this sailing?
No. We debated and looked at the menu and pics. In the end, we chose Jamie’s over Hooked.
