We went on Indy last year for New Year's. It was great! They had several New Year's celebrations set up throughout the ship, the promenade was made into a Times Square type atmosphere and there was a special dining room menu that night.

It's on the Welcome letter. Also, when you go to the photo kiosk and scan your card, there will already be an option there to select "free Diamond photo" to your cart.

First Time Star Class!!!
Lovetocruise2002 replied to SuperNinja's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes. My bad. I thought @SuperNinja was going on HM but then read the original post over again and it turns out @SuperNinja went on HM and is going on SY. So yes, Sabor not an option. Seeing that it is SY, I would go with what @CGTLH is saying with Playmakers or like @WAAAYTOOO is saying, have your Genie walk you to Chops or Jamie’s, if both are open for lunch on embarkation day. Or like I said before, I know several star class cruisers who have food waiting in their cabins to avoid the madness (eg. sandwiches from park cafe, fresh fruit, cheese, etc.). Or try out CK. We did CK on embarkation day on SY last week. It was nice and quiet there. Food was good. But SY does not rotate their lunch menu halfway through like other ships so we never went back for lunch. -
Harmony- August 25, 2019 Hello Cruisers..!
Lovetocruise2002 replied to WedNoMor's topic in People Connect
Welcome @WedNoMor! This is a great community. Way better than most others you find out there. I could be wrong, but I think that @ellcee may have had one of these cabins, not sure if it was Anthem or Harmony.... -
We've stayed very, very forward (right at the very front) and the motion was extremely noticeable that cruise. My daughter and I are normally sensitive to motion and we take something and we're good to go. That cruise on Indy, where our cabin was at the very front, even meds did not help too much. That was probably the worst sailing I have been on as far as motion goes. We've stayed as far aft as where the Lofts are on Deck 17 on OA class. Like others have said, I noticed more vibrations there but not the swaying that you get from the front. Given the two, I would rather take aft over forward. That being said, we have the Panoramic suite booked on Adventure next July. Worried about the motion but for the price we got, I am willing to take another chance with it. And there are not many sea days on that sailing anyway.

I would have done Playmakers too if HM had it. I think OP said they were on HM. -
First Time Star Class!!!
Lovetocruise2002 replied to SuperNinja's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Hmm...lunch at CK on embarkation day would not be my first choice with star class. It would definitely be an option but their lunch menu is not too outstanding. It’s still good but nothing special. We did Sabor. That helped us to avoid the Key crowd at Jamie’s and Chops. There are other star class cruisers who swear by having the Genie set up a spread and they have lunch in their suites or balconies. Those are some other options for you to consider. -
I know. The photo quality isn’t great. I got it from someone and it was already fuzzy then.

This topic came up on Periscope tonight. Posting it here for whoever might want it or be looking for it. @Matt

You pay with your seapass card.

+1 on what @twangster is saying. All aboard is usually 30min prior to sail away but we always leave extra time. We make sure we are back at least 60-90min prior to all aboard time. The ship will leave without you.

FYI: Re-pricing a "sold out" room
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Lovetocruise2002's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
After final payment you are either stuck or not worth it. Also if you are outside of North America it cannot be done. It would be treated like a whole new booking with cancellations fees and everything. But price drops after final payment could make way for an upgrade. That is how we moved from a GS to CLS on Symphony. -

I’ve done it both ways. Direct with RC and also with a TA. -
So true! This even happens to the Genie emails for some people.

Jeremias and Mohamed are fantastic, but they are well known for the slow response time to emails pre-cruise. Not to worry. Once on board, these two will take good care of you. I would wait till the end of today and if you have not heard back, send them one more email. Please tell Mohamed that Sabrina said hi. I miss him lots. He is such a great guy and Jeremias is so funny.
