Amen to That! And when the shoe was on the other foot and royal was going the way of having the vaccine or you can't cruise. Those unvax passengers weren't happy but accepted it. Oh but now the vax passengers can't handle how the Royal isn't requiring it anymore.

I love "unite around common interests and agree to disagree sometimes" but we also need to understand when we agree or disagree those are called "opinions" which we should respect.

Here is something that might blow some people's minds. Currently, not everyone the works in the health care industry is vaccinated because they have a choice. Rules are changing everyday in which what PPE is being required working in this field. Soon, the mask mandate is going to be lifted for those individuals in this field to wear masks. Just our of curiosity, for those on this blog who work in the health care industry, did your employer make you get the vaccine? I personally, haven't heard of many people forced or mandated to get one. I believe in most cases it was the CHOICE of the individual.

Yes, you are absolutely correct that you can get "deathly sick" from Covid19 on a ship, but let's not forget the other things that could put passengers with compromises (like the ones the CDC has listed if exposed to Covid19) at risk.?

Thank You for giving me a CHOICE, and I will pick number Two please. It really should have not been this complicated! I think if getting the vaccine wasn't shoved down peoples throats and where allowed to coexist on a cruise with vaccinated people, I think many of those un vaccinated passengers would be compliant with the rules imposed upon them.

Here is an idea! And a real way to possibly have a test cruise! Have two Royal Ships! One with Vaccinated People One with unvaccinated People After the voyage see if any people pop positive because we all know vaccinated people can still test positive and carry Covid!

You know how these government agencies would come to agreement and give the industry a green light? I think it's very simple! Give the people a choice to be vaccinated or not! They know it can be done on a ship, but one side always has to butt heads with the other. So Sad.

Also on mynews13.com, I find this interesting "The volunteer passengers will be Disney Employees (known as cast members), not volunteers from the general public." These "volunteers" are employed by Disney in which an employee could make them get the vaccine. I don't believe Disney has published any type of vaccine requirements or ages unless someone can find this on the internet.

It will be really interesting what the final outcome will be on other cruise lines in regards to requiring vaccines. If I were a competitor of Royal, I would give the passengers a choice! It would be a brilliant marketing tool! I know that a Disney ship vs the parks are very different environments, but they NEVER required the vaccine or every mentioned it was being considered. People may just consider jumping ship (haha) to have a choice!

Anyway I miss cruising really bad but I have stated my opinion from the get go(just like I said the cruise lines will cruise from other ports other than Florida) the cruise lines should give us a choice. Second Statement, I know Governor DeSantis will do everything to protect the rights of Floridians. He is not forcing anything on individuals, he is actually making sure you have a CHOICE!! Just wondering how the inspection process would be different from a laminated card vs un-laminated? Does the CDC say "Not to laminate them"? the only negative thing I found on the WWW was this, "Georges C. Benjamin, 68, executive director of the American Public Health Association, counsels against laminating your vaccination record. That's chiefly because that card has blank spaces to record future shots, whether the second dose of a two-dose regimen or a booster shot should one become necessary. Sealing the card in plastic would prevent the vaccine provider from adding such information to the original card."

I wish I knew the amount of people that will cancel and what the number of cabins they will lose with this approach of changing the age. If by chance the Nassau cruises end of being cxl'd, will it be related to families having to cxl ? Unfortunately, we will never know.

I received a phone call from Marsha this morning from Royal. I almost didn't answer the phone. Anyway, she informed me of my two options, 1-move to a later cruise in the summer to accommodate the time frame for the vaccine 2-Total refund including any airfare booked thru Air2Sea. I chose Number 2.

I think if you don't mind vaccinating your 12 y/o or older, it won't affect you! In our case, we couldn't get the vaccine and have enough time to follow the protocol Royal mandated for the June 19th cruise so they are refunding all monies or FCC.

We were using FCC that will be re deposited. She also said we will receive 100% of the air fare booked thru air2sea program refunded to our CC. And I also asked about our Thanksgiving and Christmas cruise and she said as of know those of the rules, she did say they could change.

Yes Royal always had it as a requirement. Just got a phone call from Royal explaining my options for the 6/19/21 cruise, and we have to cxld. So Upset!

And let's be very clear(and for those of you who honestly not know) that you do not need the vaccine for travel or entrance to the Bahamas! Royal has made it a requirement for Nassau sailings and now other cruises.
