No certificate.  You will get an email confirmation showing the redemption and then at some point (the timeframe for this is something of a mystery…..but generally no less than 10 days prior to sailing), the credit will pop up in your CP and at that point, you can use it pre cruise or wait and use it while onboard.

We always use ours at the casino but you can use it for anything that you can use other OBC for.

Hello, how do you use it in the casino?  I would love to use it that way

I have stayed in the 2 BR ATS but never stayed in a CLS (I have been in one, but never booked one).

Pros of the 2 BR ATS: Star Class amenities (including the Genie).  Incredible aft views.

Cons of the 2 BR ATS:  LONG walk all the way aft.

Pros of the CLS: Dramatic views with the 2 level, full glass windows/doors.  Very short walk to the Coastal Kitchen/Suites Lounge.  Sky class amenities.

Cons of the CLS: Long, steep stairs.  Narrow room/balcony.  No real second bedroom.

The 2 BR ATS was our first (and second, and third) SC suites.  I really enjoyed the suite(s) but I soon tired of the very long walk and once I discovered the convenience of being up on Deck 17, we switched exclusively to Deck 17 and have never gone back.  I'm really glad we did the ATS.  There's nothing to compare to it.  Besides the Royal Loft Suite (and the Villa Suite), the ATS are the only SC suites that truly have a separate bedroom.

If it were me, I would definitely put a minimum RU bid in for the 2 BR ATS.  It would be well worth the SC amenities alone to get there via RU. Good luck !

Thank you for this info.  I went back and forth about bidding on a ATS and decided to go ahead and bid.  I love being on the 17th floor but want to try something different

I normally wouldn't start posting before I'm actually on my trip, but with all the Covid fun and testing and whatnot, I'm going to start a few days early this time because it may be useful to others.

    Basics:

Ultimate Panoramic Suite, Deck 14 Forward.  Stupidly rare cabin (there are only two in Royal's fleet and I just lucked out when they were released for booking late November 2019).  It's Star Class, so this should be fun.

    Itinerary:

    Miami
    Cococay
    At Sea
    Cozumel
    Roatan
    Costa Maya
    At Sea
    Miami

Like most of you, I need a negative Covid test before boarding.  Save yourself some heartache and just order a proctored rapid antigen test instead of trying to book a slot at a pharmacy.  I'll do mine on a video call at my hotel using my laptop.  https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center/pre-cruise-testing.  My test kits arrived 3 days after I ordered them, and both had December expiration dates.

I'm looking at this room for an upcoming cruise,  Will be following to see your thoughts

I would have asked for your autograph, figuring you were a TV/Movie star I didn't recognize, or at least somebodies Senator or maybe a federal judge. ?

LOL, Im just your average working person.  This trip was a gift to my parents celebrating their  63rd wedding anniversary.  Star Class sort of fell in my lap, I grabbed it and ran with it

Yeah, it was always the line cutting that seemed awkward.

Might overhear a comment or two about the reserved seating. More so when large swaths of seats have been reserved and remain unoccupied until the drapes are removed just before the show starts. I hear more balking over the Suites/Top Tier Crown and Society reserved section.

Only other spot I've heard some hostility with has been the FlowRider. Maybe if jumping the line getting escorted off the ship when first arriving at a port of call.

Next would be disembarking the ship the final morning. However, I feel the Suite guest group getting escorted off cause more of a rumbling due to the numbers. Small group a Genie escorts off, maybe a few looks. Large group the concierge escorts off, defiantly will hear a few choice words.

Embarking, maybe if the Genie has to cut in front of a group for the elevators. Don't recall on either of my Star sailings the Genie kicking anyone off the elevator, they just made a comment to them about enjoying the express ride.

We experienced the elevator thing on the first day.  Our Genie got the elevator doors opened and everyone jumped on.  The Genie politely said I'm sorry you have to get off.  Once empty the four of us plus the Genie got on.  I heard who the He... are they as the doors closed.
