UkuleleCruiser reacted to Matt in Reactions on these boards
Quite simply, reactions allow users to offer more fine-grained sentiments towards content than a simple up/down or 'like'.

Not a cruise question...Can someone explain how these reactions work?? Earlier today around noon, I had no reactions left for the day. I now I do??

UkuleleCruiser reacted to twangster in Reactions on these boards
This happened to me last night. I was out earlier in the day then I was able to give one in a live blog but then I was out again.
Like currency if the reaction bank makes too many it will devalue them.

Well, guess the bank made too many again cause I just tried to give you one and none left again ?

UkuleleCruiser reacted to twangster in Personal Wine
Yes, by the glass. I have shatterproof stemless wine glasses (plastic) that I pack as well.
Often I'll have a glass of wine I've bought on board and re-use that glass, filled in my cabin then carried around.
I bring one of those small TSA approved 2oz shampoo type travel sized containers filled with dish soap to wash my glasses and personal water bottle I also bring.
If I am going on or near the pool deck I'm careful to use plastic only. A broken glass on the pool deck or in a hot tub is a serious problem. You can ask the pool bar for a plastic wine glass sometimes.

This is what I got a few years ago when they first started the drink package thing. I think they ran out of the real things and were scraping the bottom of the barrel, so to speak.

UkuleleCruiser reacted to L454S in Glass Blocks
So far, it's been money well spent. I know we would do it again.

Interesting second paragraph.
Guess it shows each cruise line is better for some activities compared to others. Apparently Disney is a better cruise line for SEX. Walt would be proud.

UkuleleCruiser got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Cough, cough! Fighting the cold before my cruise leaves
I'm feeling somewhat better today. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be 100%. Then I'm getting into a plastic bubble, spraying myself down with Scotchguard, and wrapping myself in Saran Wrap until the cruise.

UkuleleCruiser reacted to twangster in TV in cabin
Like with a safe that one guest locks upon departing, changing inputs on TV can possibly cause grief for new guests.
Royal has announced plans to make cabin TV's available for streaming from personal devices. The details have not been announced but from what was said it suggested it would be Airplay like and available for both Apple and Android. I imagine new ships may launch with this capability at some point. Not sure it that includes Symphony or Quantum Plus. Older ships remain uncertain.
No but a bank has robbed me. Does that count?
-
UkuleleCruiser reacted to princevaliantus in TV in cabin
There's a reason why there are no accessible HDMI ports on the newer ships and that is due too Royal Caribbean got hooked on to the game and they don't want their passengers breaking their tv's. What amazes me is that why would anyone put this "great hack" online knowing that once it is found out, things will change?
I'm a betting man so my solid $10 mil bet would be that no one on this board successfully robbed a bank?? ?? ?? ?? ??

UkuleleCruiser got a reaction from RestingBird in You know you are addicted to cruises with Royal Caribbean when :
You book cruises years in advance, and have money deposited from each paycheck.
You consider it a perfectly acceptable Friday night activity to wait on hold to find out if a free upgrade is available.
You have nothing to say about the news, but can endlessly discuss the pros and cons of the drink packages,

You got a ZPack and another antibiotic? I thought I had a cast iron stomach, but I must bow to you, sir!
-
UkuleleCruiser reacted to tiny260 in Cough, cough! Fighting the cold before my cruise leaves
Bit the bullet, went to the doctor and got a ZPack and broad spectrum antibiotic to head off anything else and was fine by the time my cruise came.

UkuleleCruiser reacted to Orange Crush in Cough, cough! Fighting the cold before my cruise leaves
To be honest, I would have to be pretty severely ill to even consider missing a cruise or other vacation. I wouldn't let a cold keep me down. Have some hot tea in the morning and enough alcohol to forget you've got a cold and you'll be fine. The flu or a stomach bug could change my mind--it's not fair risking other passenger's health and nobody wants to be vomiting and utterly miserable on a ship any way.
Regardless, you've got a month till you sail. Plenty of time to shake a little cold.

I remember a list of drinks we could order while the ship was still in Galveston waters. Here is a flyer I found soeone posted from the Navigator days. Probably very similar....

UkuleleCruiser reacted to jce2 in Best city to live in?
What do I think? ........ Get the heck out of Texas!!!
-
UkuleleCruiser reacted to jce2 in Liberty of the Seas Alcoholic Beverages
Actually I dont think it is Texas law but rather the fact that RC would have to pay taxes on alcohol opened in Texas waters so they limit what they will open. And you dont have to wait till day 2 for a full drink menu. Soon as you get 12 miles out to see (about an hour into your voyage?) you should have full access.

UkuleleCruiser reacted to Traveler in Sorrento's Pizza
Its not that bad,
If you use your Alcohol package as it should and you pour on the slice half of Tabasco bottle with some of the dry spices its eatable ....
Also there are two things I love about the Sorrento :
It reduce the lines in cafe promenade.
It add seating area in the promenade ...

UkuleleCruiser reacted to JLMoran in Sorrento's Pizza
I’m a born and bred New Jerseyan, enjoying good pizza is in my blood. I want to thank everyone here for the multiple warnings about Sorrentos. I’ll be sure to avoid it, as having it might lead me to swear off ever cruising again, and that would be a Bad Thing.

That's horrible news. You MUST try it. It's part of the shared experience talking about how bad it is.
