Beyond 5 March

I'm going to say YES.  Not so much that it's a mess.  More that it hasn't been repaired.  
It was explained to me like this... France paid out to the people on the French side immediately and they took the money and ran.  On the Dutch side, the Netherlands basically said, "calm down, let's assess the situation and we will get everyone their money."  Sounds like a negative thing, but it encouraged those on the Dutch side to breathe and decide their next best course of action.  Most stayed and rebuilt and you can tell the difference.

But we technically don't even know what dining venues are on Icon!

We love Hawaii so we were looking for something that included Hawaii. The timing of the cruise was also a perfect fit for our schedule. Love that we get to see Vancouver too. Curious about 5 days in a row on the water but we'll see!

I just booked Captain bobs for out April sailing!!

The casino program has smiled upon us again (Which considering I came out ahead on Apex in December is extra nice) and we now have an 8 night southern Caribbean leaving May 27th, 2023 on Celebrity Equinox. 
We were supposed to originally supposed to sail Equinox back in May of 2020. Funny thing is that I booked that sailing late March 2020 thinking “there’s no way cruising isn’t back by Memorial Day” and we all now how that ended up. 

Yes, Marigot is a bit of a bombed out shell of what it once was.
By the way, we did Captain Bob's and it was GREAT!  We did have two incidents, one where a young woman with our group got injured on the reef and needed a bit of a rescue, and another where a couple took a boat out from one of the hotels, the guy couldn't restart the motor and the wife was snorkeling a good 300 yards away and the boat was floating off in the opposite direction.  Made for an interesting day.

This is weird.  We have 4 Royal cruises booked for 23/24 and ZERO Celebrity.  First time in a long time I don't have a Celebrity cruise on the horizon.  May need to rectify that situation!

I think our May Ovation cruise is preventing that from happening.

Thankyou @Maggie M and @BrianAlt.  I really appreciate the perspective.  That is a good Idea to look into adventure ocean on both to see the difference.  I'll check into that.

Either one is great!  For 400-500 less, I'd go with the cheaper one.  You can always do an Oasis-class next and compare!

I think the issue of inherited status affects fewer people than we might initially think which may be why Royal has such an inconsistent response on this topic.  Keep in mind, the posters on this blog are not a good cross-section of the general cruising population.  We are all either frequent cruisers or cruisers who want to discuss ALL the details.
So let's think about an 18 year old that would be eligible to inherit their parent's diamond status.  This teenager must have parents that cruised often enough to reach diamond BUT did most or all of their cruising before having their children or they left their children home for most of their days at sea.  Otherwise, this teenager would likely have enough points to qualify as diamond on their own and not need to inherit the status.  So how likely is that scenario?  Royal is a pretty family oriented cruise line.  I could be wrong but I don't think a lot of parents are taking Royal cruises while leaving their kids at home.  Royal is never going to release numbers, but I would bet there are more people inheriting status through marriage/living together than through their parents.
