Actually, Cookie10*, you are the one who is unreal. You have a total disregard for the RC pool rule of "no reserving deck chairs/loungers" as well as total lack of respect for fellow cruisers. My question for you is, what makes you so special? 

My wife and I have separate RC card accounts (based on SSAN not physical address). I use mine for all RC transactions and high dollar purchases for our house. Over the past few years new appliances, hardwood flooring, landscaping, etc. My wife uses hers also for high dollar purchases.... hair maintenance, finger and toe nail stuff and of course shoes!

I really love St. Marteen.  We are beach people so Great Bay Beach, I believe is the name, is super convenient.  It’s within walking distance or a very easy water taxi trip from the ship.  Drinks, food and chairs are reasonably priced and readily available.  
St Thomas has beautiful beaches and magen’s Bay is a can’t miss if you are beach person.  We grab a independent taxi bus which is an adventure by itself traveling the narrow, winding roads along the mountainside.

I have traveled on Indy both pre and post renovations.  
In the overall scope very few additional passengers were added as a percentage of existing guest count.
Long before they finished the renovations there were protagonists offering their projections of doom.  As this spread on social media many people became fixated on it.  Boarding with the intent to find this "problem" many people found evidence of what they had convinced themselves they would find.  Meanwhile Liberty, a sister ship had received the same cabin additions nearly two years prior and has been sailing without any such complaints.  
I found no such evidence during my port-renovation cruise.  All ships will seem busy at time such as immediately after muster drill.  At times all ships have waits or lines for popular items.  For some this is evidence that the ship is now overcrowded.  For me it's the same experience I have on all ships at some point in time.  

Done this multiple times.  Agree that this the best way to go.  

Really shouldn’t be a concern at all for you.  I’m surprised that I don’t see more people who have had one too many but I RARELY do.  I think the clientele on RC is a little different.  Not judging other lines but I think it’s part of the reason.

We just recently booked and was wondering if anybody has sailed on her post-amplification.  I have found some videos and since the independence is/was used in the European market, it seems some of the new features are different than the recent upgrades I have seen on the latest amplified ships.  Any experience or opinions?  Very familiar with the Freedom class and most recently have exclusively sailed Oasis class.  Thanks in advance 

We attempted maya Chan last month but the seaweed was so bad we couldn’t stay.  It was mounded up a couple feet high all along the shore which made it impossible to swim.  We hated leaving because they were working their tails off but it was just too much for them to handle.  Our noses never acclimated to the smell after 30 minutes.  Had kids with us so without the ocean and only a small pool,  it was going to be a challenge keeping them happy.  I hear the seaweed situation changes by the day so maybe we caught a bad day.  And with you going in February it could be completely different.  Would definitely visit again it conditions improved.  Also, they refunded our money immediately, as promised and with no hassle, so no harm checking them out.

I apologize for any posts that you felt were attacks on yourself.  Now and then we get someone who comes in here and posts outlandish accusations about a horrible experience and then never come back to provide any feedback. It does not excuse anyone insulting you by any means.
I can appreciate your dedication to following up with posts in this thread and I can tell from your responses that you're not being unreasonable, but did have a first-time negative experience. I really think if you gave it another shot and followed some best practices, you could easily avoid the pitfalls you ran into previously, and then enjoy a great cruise vacation.

About to do our 14th cruise.  Only once in a balcony.  I thought it was okay.  My wife didn’t really see much value in it.  As others have said it’s really a individual thing.

I know that "stealing is stealing" and most people would say that giving your kid an occasional soda from your pkg counts as that, but I don't think RCCL changed the drink policy because a guest was giving their kids an occasional soda. They changed it because they firstly, saw a way to increase revenue and then a far second, would be guest sharing alcoholic drinks. That's where the money is. Soda, especially fountain soda cost close to nothing.

In addition to what has already been said, I also think that a 3 or 4 night Navigator cruise is very different than a 7 night cruise experience. 

I'm guessing...you had the drink pkg?...?
