  1. Let me know how your tequila shopping goes, i want to do the same in March.
  2. Greetings all! We'll be on Brilliance of the Seas in March, our first cruise with a child. He'll be 1yr old (a fresh 12 months), and we have a couple questions. First off, a few have been answered via the forum, and podcast, so thank you to all. These following questions are the leftovers. 1. Does anyone have experience with taking a 1yr old (or close) to dinner in the MDR? Is it allowed? Should we even attempt it? 2. Does the nursery still cost extra? If so, how much? 3. In general...any tips or suggestions for cruising with a baby. I'll be searching the forum and reading up on previous posts, over the next month. 4. We'll be in a JS (for double points, and to see if the extra space works well), and if I remember correctly, they have bathtubs...yes? Our little guy loves bath tub time, but will be fine with just a shower too. Thanks!
  3. Just a heads up, in case you haven't already read it, but the gratuities just went up to $14.50.
  4. My ex-girlfriend lived there with her parents for almost a year, and she worked as a waitress at Johnny Rockets. Unlike on a ship, they danced and put on a show at various times, she said it was a lot of fun.
  5. I've heard some crazy rumors about The Villages (basically people living out high school/college all over again), but all in all it sounds like a fun place.
  6. I liked Rita's on Serenade a year ago, so I'm hoping Brilliance still has it.
  7. Great post! I love hot dogs, so I've been hoping they're good on board. Sorrento's I disagree. I like Johnny Rockets as well.
  8. There was a place to grab a bite in the Solarium on Freedom in April 2016. I thought that was park Cafe. Whatever it was it was pretty good.
  9. I'd guess Orlando would be good. Tampa, Canaveral, Lauderdale, and Miami all pretty close.
  10. I was thinking about using some OBC for grats in March, but I'm always paranoid about rates going up, so I pre-paid. Sure enough, they just went up.
  11. Just take a soccer ball, or maybe a frisbee to play with in the room(s). Shoot, you can play hide and seek! Glad you two made it safely!
  12. So I've been a part of the forum for a year now, and i love interacting on here with everyone. I finally started listening to the podcast yesterday. I downloaded the first 25, and got through 18 of them while working last night, great way to help stay awake. Thanks @Matt and anyone else involved for keeping it going. I'll download some more this weekend!
  13. We've taken a 24 pack of water on, twice. Once in Port Canaveral, and once in Boston. In Port Canaveral the porter said we had to carry it on, he can't put it with the checked luggage in case it leaks. In Boston we had all the guards (4 or 5) we passed warn us we might not be allowed to bring it on. We told each one politely we'd been allowed to do it before, and next thing you know we're onboard. No one actually stopped us, just warned us someone else down the line might deny the water entry. I just carried it around til our room was ready on both occasions.
  14. I'm considering having our TA take care of air fare if we ever have to fly again, just to see how it works out.
  15. We're going in March with our 1yr old on Brilliance, let us know how your trip goes! Having never had a baby/kid with us, we're planning on not planning anything, just to see how things go; so, I guess that'd be my tip.
  16. Yeah, the "you need to.find yourself a girl, mate" line could get old. Sorry @DocLC, that probably went over your head ?
  17. @Matt has gone to a hotel in Nassau, right by the pier, and Senor' Frogs. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/03/23/anthem-of-the-seas-live-blog-day-5-nassau-bahamas
  18. I caught that too ?, well done @Floski
  19. I haven't heard of it, but I'm always suspicious of anything like that. It would be cool if it's legit.
  20. Not sure about the central park perks, but the bottle of wine should be waiting in your room.
  21. There are a couple ships in the fleet with topless decks...Can't remember which ones.
  22. I agree with you, our experience was the same...terrible.
  23. Loved Peggy's Cove. In Bar Harbor we did a lighthouse tour, then a quick Acadia tour. Next time we'll do a longer Acadia tour then wander around town (didn't have time with 2 excursions, but we had fun regardless).
