I am prone to sea sickness.
I always book rooms middle to back.
I take travel sickness pills with me.
Taking one the night before we sail and every night at bedtime as if the sea turns rough in the night I know it will affect me.
    It's for years for me

We were also on the same cruise as the O.P.
I agree the ship was busy on sea days and yes the windjammer was heaving, however we have experienced this before on ships and will order room service for breakfast.
We do have the option of other eating places don't we?
On this cruise we didn't actually use the dining room at all, this sometimes happens with us - it all depends what we are doing and what we feel like we do generally use My Time Dining though. We went is on Disembarkation day and I thought it looked a bit squashed but didn't give it too much thought at the time - now i understand why!
We ate either in the specialty eating places or the windjammer.
The Diamond Lounge was pretty quiet as well compared to some cruises we have been on so I am taking it there were not so many top tier members on this cruise?
I can't say we experienced any problem getting off the ship on port days and we enjoyed every port just walking and doing our own thing.
The shows where good what we watched and also the ice skating but we needed to be there quite early to get a decent seat.
I have to say though the invitation by the Captain to an Ice show for Top Tier guests was a bit disappointing as most probably queued longer to get in that the show lasted, I'm not quite sure if that had been thought out.
My hubby and I christened it the moaners cruise as that is all we heard and much of it was about the weather and too many passengers.
We got on with our cruise however and thoroughly enjoyed it.
    Back on it next year.

We don't sail until the beginning of June and I printed ours off during the last week.
As I said look under your onlinr check in when it's completed. That is where ours were

Regarding the muster drill....if your son is not comfortable in large crowds, they will make special arrangements to have you attend the must drill somewhere more comfortable than outside on the decks.  I cannot stand for long periods of time and they always allow me to go inside and sit in the dining room and listen to the muster drill.  Just speak to someone at the Guest Services desk before the muster drill and they will direct you speak with someone who can help.

I recently had an email which offered a chance to use OBC for certain things during our cruise.
I took up the offer choosing an excursion plus speciality dining.
The money has been taken out if our bank account.
    Any idea why?

Do you always cruise around the same time? If so, maybe consider picking a different time of year to get the best experience. I do not get motion sick myself but my parents and friends do and have recommended the pill (even if not feeling effects yet best to beat it before it happens) or the patch behind the ear. These are just what I have been told by others who suffer from motion sickness.

I'm beginning to think that I don't want to cruise anymore.....or any less. Damn the norovirus, wash my hands often, use the hand sanitizer, use the hell out of my drink package and CRUISE ON!

Is there a special hand sanitizer to use rather than the ones found in stores?

Everything is locked in the safe unless you need it. That includes passports. If we're getting off the ship, we take just enough cash we might need and a piece of gov't photo ID other than our passports. Credit card only in the case we foresee needing it to buy something.
We wear no jewelry either on excursions. That includes watches other than our recreation watches already covered in sand and sea salt.

I've not, but I know @Big Dawg Ron has.  Pretty sure there was a note in the Cruise Compass, and the rates were incredible.  I think @mpoole3 has seen offers as well.

As Pam said above "one less thing to think about in organising our holiday". I personally like to tackle that project as soon as I can, one less thing you have to deal with as you get really close to leaving home. One thing for sure, you have to check in on line before you go.

We plan on being with her 24/7 too, she is looking forward to ziplining across the ship, and going on the slides. She is 72, and still loves to have fun.

She still remembers most things now, but the cruise is in a year. Not sure where they will be when it’s tine to go in the cruise. She was joking the other day that she can’t wait to get lost on the ship. I just rolled my eyes ??

Sure go on the cruise but please make sure that someone is with them at all times, there is no way that you can predict when they will have a memory loss and having someone there that is familiar to them is a great help.  Not sure how far the disease has progressed but I know that they also derive comfort from familiar surroundings as the disease progresses,  for their safety I would say please have someone with them to ensure that they do not get lost or confused.  I am the step son of a mother  that had Alzheimers/dementia and understand that "making memories and family time" are EXTREMELY important but our elders also need to be cared for and safe.  Please go and have a great time but please have someone with them at all times.

We would "test" her throughout the trip.  About 75/25 she would remember.  She was always accompanied by someone she is familiar with the entire time.  Only time we were worried is if she wandered off while everyone was sleeping.  It never happened.  She was exhausted after all the fun activities on the ship!  She had a great time.  She would always talk about the cruise even years afterwards.

This answer is very much depending how far down the line this person is with this condition. If the the loss of a short term memory is now present I would suggest someone is with the person at all times as they may not have the capacity to move around the ship simply because it is very large and unknown to them. They may not remember their way on a daily basis? Only you know what stage they are at with this condition.

Clear your history and cache.  This can be done using your browser functions or there is a nice program called CCleaner that does this very nicely.  It's a free download that comes with several other useful tools as well.

Has anyone else received a questioner from RC.
I had one today asking about where we have cruised where we would like to cruise.
I duly obliged until I got to the question asking about our income.
I never give this out - it's far to invasive and personal.
The questioner wouldn't let me move any further until I had provided it.
I decided to close it down but struggled - it kept returning to the question. eventually I shut the PC down and that seemed to clear it - only a short while later it popped back up at the same page.
I won't be filling in anymore questioners from RC!

Thank you for taking time to write the review which I enjoyed reading - great pictures too.
We enjoy the Indy as well.
This year we did a Transatlantic on her to the UK and have booked to sail with her on the Canaries next year.
Have to add I didn't think she was  in disrepair in April this year either.
