We just got back, and did the Galley Tour on the Oasis. It was fairly interesting (ours was of the Deck-4 Main Dining galley). Our 12 & 14 daughters went along and found it to be OK. The brunch at the end was actually VERY good.
But you might want to wait until getting on the cruise. They came by our MDR table on Day 6 at lunch and offered it to us for Day 7, but also included dinner that night (Day 6) in the Solarium Bistro (which was GREAT), for $35/person. So, that seemed decent for tour, brunch, and specialty dinner.  Not sure if that offer that deal on every trip.

Think of it as having breakfast in the main dining room with an expanded menu but before you eat you get a tour of a large commercial kitchen.  Some parts of it are interesting, but I think kids would get bored quickly.  They do have some nicer food items though, like cheeses, shrimp, etc.  Kids attending would be totally fine, it's not adults only.  My wife and I did it on our last cruise, it was just ok for us.  We wouldn't do it again.

Your Sea pass will be given on your check in before you embark the ship.
You will pay for your drink with your sea pass card and this will be added to your on board account which is payable before you disembark - unless of course you have bought a package of drinks?

We did an airboat tour of the Everglades at Holiday Park. It was fun and reasonably priced.

I like casinos, but travelling with my kids, so this is not an option. Thanks anyway for the tip.

If you enjoy the casino you can go to the Hard Rock.  I have heard there is a lot of construction there right now though.  Might not be the best time to visit

I/We, my family 2 cabins 1 adult 1child  in 1 and 2 adults and 2 children in other, that we could not buy any other drink packages(Ultimate) online or we would lose the free Soda deal. but to wait until we were on board to purchase any other drink package so customer service on the ship could make the changes. So We'll see how this turns out in a few months. it just makes it bad becuase then you can not take advantage of pre-cruise package deals.

I have not done this, but I just read recently that going to guest services will take care of the problem.  I have had thee soda package as well as the Ultimate drink package and couldn't have the cost of the soda package deducted from the alcohol package because technically, I didn't pay for it.

My S&S card had the preprinted Coke logo and also the sticker for the drink package.

I think there were many complaints from parents re giving the soda package to the first 2 occupants of the cabin, so perhaps allowing the change makes sense,  Good luck

I agree with DocLC. Wait until you get on board to do anything. If they can fix it, and I don't see why not, great. And if they can't you haven't lost anything by waiting to get the soda pkgs. I don't see why it matters who in the room gets the free soda pkgs, as long as it's not more than two free per room.

Please report back and let us know the outcome.
Personally,I would wait until I got onboard for the kids to see if this can be switched as I don't like to pay for something I don't have to. I'm confident this is something the Food and Beverage Manager could address onboard.

I'm pretty sure it's based on your final destination.  You have an international flight with a connection.  In that case you would not be able to use the luggage valet service.  I guess the only exception would be if your two flights were booked as separate trips with separate record locators.  Then you could probably use Atlanta as your final destination, pick up your bags, and then re-check them to Amsterdam.

On Freedom two weeks ago, the MDR dining room had the same kids menu every night. If I remember correctly, as was said, it had chicken fingers, pasta, pizza and a burger. There may have been a couple other options as well. It also has appetizers and desserts. Things like fruit plates, ice cream and cookies...

But they can also order off the main menu and make changes as well. For example, my daughter (8), ordered the steak off the main (adult) menu every night but had them do french fries instead of mashed, etc.

My suggestion is to speak with the head waiter on day one (before dinner) and see what they can do for you. Especially if you know there is one or two things that she will consistently eat - they may be able to do those two things for you every night...
    Hope this helps!

Pancakes at breakfast, most definitely, but not at dinner. Pasta will always be available as it's on the kids menu along with hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, and the like.

    Regarding the Luggage Valet Program;

I have read that for Delta Airlines this is only available for domestic flights. But how will that be if first part of the flight is domestic, and rest is international. We will travel from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta and the  to Amsterdam.. Can we then use this program ?

We stayed at a hotel on Ocean drive on 2/16 after arriving at FLL. We took a Lyft, and it was about $40. Look for the www.cruisehabit.com post about this topic. Billy, the author gives discount codes at the end for Uber/Lyft. We took a cab back after the cruise and the total cost was almost $100.

You can get Uber or Lyft on the baggage claim level between the terminals...I think the sign said commercial vehicles or something, and there was a large drop off/pick up area designated.  If you have that many people, have either two people order the Uber/Lyft, or call for an UberXL, or Uber Black. It would still be cheaper than cabs or a SuperShuttle. When I priced Supershuttle for two, it was $72 one way if I recall correctly.

I've been on 26, whereas my 9 year old has been on 16, with his 17th, 18th, 19th already booked through summer 2018. But it does show how family-friendly cruising is as I've cruised significantly more post-kid and over a shorter period of time than pre-kid.

I'll add that it's not a bad idea to register your other family members with C&A (even the kids) so they can all start accumulating their points and build up their levels. I was advised to do that by my TA, so that when the kids turn 18 and can actually get their own card they'll already be at a level that reflects however many cruises they'll have been on by that point. I hadn't realized until then that minors can be registered with C&A.

For fun and amazement -- I was flabbergasted when I heard DocLC give a rundown of his most recent cruise on the Cruise Dudes podcast and found out that his son, who isn't even 18 yet, has already been on something like 26 cruises and will "start off" at Diamond Plus by the time he gets his card at age 18.

Makes sense then why you're seeing what you're seeing.  As Doc said, whoever is highest ranking C&A member in household (you) should have benefits shared with others. You can call C&A and ensure that happens or stop by the Loyalty Ambassador desk onboard.
