  1. I agree with all of you that formal night ought to be "special" enough to make an effort
  2. We did an eastern caribbean sailing and I think it was St Thomas where all aboard was quite late because we didn't arrive until lunch time or so. In that case, early seating had more of an issue with island time being cut into
  3. I have similar concerns about the gimmickyness of the ship. While I think rccl is using things like ripcord and northstar as selling points today, the ship itself and the venues, staterooms and facilities will be the bigger draw. Along with where it's sailing from (NY). Once they announce all of the new features, restaurants and shows (broadway?), I feel like they can focus less on the fact the ship has a clown school
  4. Makes sense to me. The sooner I'm onboard, the sooner vacation really begins for us.
  5. My wife always gets annoyed when she sees people in MDR wearing shorts. Does it bother anyone else?
  6. Hey everyone. My name is Jay. My wife and I started cruising with rcl in the 90s and never looked back. We are diamond members and enjoying our retirement years onboard.
  7. We usually get to the ship by 11:00 or 11:30. My wife hates being late lol
  8. Late seating for us. I feel like there is too much going on in port or on the ship around 5:00 or 6:00 and I dont want to miss out
