  1. We stopped getting them several years ago. We called and called and got all kinds of answers and told things to do and all to no avail. Their I.T. dept. is a JOKE. ( Idiotic twits) They blame everybody else but themselves.
  2. Do not be discouraged if there is a long line at some of the photo stations. If it is a backdrop that appeals to you get in line. They move fast. Take lots of pictures. We have gotten some great casual pictures over the years as well as formal, etc. The photos at the dinner table we wave them off a lot. Yes the package costs a little bit BUT just 1 photo can be PRICELESS. Watch for the photo package to go on sale. Welcome to the board. Enjoy the cruise. And congratulations.
  3. I always pack a small scissors, corkscrew, and pocketknife. Never have had an in issue from RC.And it is in the checked luggage. And duck tape.
  4. I like your reasoning on going with the 3 Central Park cabins. 6 K is a whole lot of drinks, dinners, excursions, etc. On sea days you will be at the pool, etc. Not sitting on a balcony for a long period of time. And port days the balcony and room will be empty for the most part.
  5. Is your cruise sold out? We just received our 5th Royal up for our Sept.12 Anthem cruise that has been sold out for weeks. Remember you don`t get double points for going into a suite unless you already are in a suite. That is why we are not bidding $ 900.00 for a suite that won`t get us double points. You can try bidding less. You may not like the location of the room that you are getting. That $ 700 could be well spent on other items.
  6. Any recommendations where to buy wine before we go the port. We are staying at the Embassy Suites. Going on Anthem Sept. 12 . Thank you
  7. Welcome to the board and to Royal Caribbean. Enjoy the cruise.
  8. Sorry to hear that. If its not propulsion issues its hurricane issues. What a mess for RC and its guests.
  9. We did Harv and Marv`s whale watching. So glad we did. It was highly recommended. They are not a RC sponsored excursion. The boats are small. Had 8 people on our boat. They pick you up at the pier. Most other tours are on large boats. Harv and Marv`s can get close to the whales where as others can`t as the boats are to slow once they are spotted. Their web site has a nice video.
  10. We are on Anthem on Sept.12, and still getting royal up notices. It has been sold out for a while. Hello RC. Earth to RC.
  11. Been their done that and learned the hard way. Now it is carried on. NOT worth the aggravation.
  12. Noon or later is what we do. We also do walk off. Anything earlier is not highly recommended.
  13. St. Thomas for sure. And if there is a trunk show going on either on board or in port. We have hit those on 4 occasions and purchased some very nice items.
  14. No elevators. Stairs only. That is our motto. Unless it is first a.m. when I am on a coffee run. Then its stairs down and elevator up.
  15. Or a hat or sunglasses. Next will be fingerprinting or perhaps a retina scan.
  16. Save your coins. So not worth it. Coverage is very spotty at times. You wonder if you are using dial up.
  17. Mother nature strikes again. And if you watch weather reports, each station has a different forecast.
  18. It takes a whole 5 seconds per person. We can afford 10 more seconds.
  19. Saw my T.A. yesterday to pick up our travel documents and got a table for 2. Thank you everyone.
  20. Nothing like a cup of cowboy coffee.
  21. You can dine at the same restaurant 3 times if you want to. You can`t make reservations until you are on board. That is why some of us stress to get to the port by 10 a.m. As soon as we board we make our specialty reservations. Also you have to do a specialty restaurant the first night. Otherwise Bon Appetit.
  22. What are the chances of getting a table for 2. We are 2 weeks out from our Anthem cruise and realized that with 4 specialty dinners and 1 late night departure we will only be in the M.D.R. 4 nights at best. Normally we request a large table. We are doing late seating dining. Can we get it changed our does our T.A. have to do that. Thanks
  23. Lived in Orlando for 10 years and the airport clams down around 10 p.m. Like most of them. Have stayed at the Regency on occasion. Rooms are very quiet. Moving to Lakeland, Fl. this fall and will use airport hotels when ever necessary for travel. They are well built, quiet, and convenient. Been to Port Canaveral on several occasions and we do what others have said in this post.
  24. Went there for our honeymoon 44 years. Have not been back since. But will one day. I bought a pair of sandals that I wear to this very day and had them resoled about 12 years ago. They are leather thong flip flops. If you see something unique by all means purchase it. There are some great artisans over there. Snorkeling and body surfing is a whole lot of fun. Lots of good food in abundance. Go where the locals go. The bigger the dive the better the food. The Arizona memorial is a very emotional experience. Kauai the garden isle is beautiful. Lahaina Whaling Village in Maui is very quaint. Oahu is very commercialized. And their is a lot of truth to the fact that you don`t take rocks if you go to Haleakala Crater. I took one and gave it to a co worker on a dare. I`m sad to say that 1 year later he died out out of the clear blue. Coincidence or angry spirits did him in and I`m still bothered by it to this day. Their is an enormous amount of culture there. If at all possible go to a luau. Good food and lots of fun to be had.
