Just got an invite to participate in the Royal Up Bid Program. We are sailing on Anthem Sept. 12, 2019. Booked into a Balcony room. Should I bid and if so how much? I have 3 choices: Grand Suite with Sky Class $ 450 P.P., Junior Suite with Sea Class $ 200 P.P. , or a Spacious Ocean View Balcony $ 50 P.P. Never have done this before. How does it work? Does my T.A. do the bidding or do I ? Is it worth doing? Do I get double points for Suites? Thank you to everyone who may offer any and all info.

Rolexes & Fine Jewelry worn onboard

Simply put: Watch on when docked. Don`t want to miss the ship leaving. Watch off when sailing. It`s a cruise. You`re on vacation. Same somewhat applies to the cell phone. Goes in the safe on the 1st day and comes out on the last day. Don`t worry. Be Happy -
Enchantment of the Seas, 7/3 - 7/8

Don`t bring hard liquor it will be confiscated and then returned on the last night. We sailed on Enchantment for our first cruise years ago. It has since been stretched. Service and food is so much better on smaller ships. Welcome to the message board. Enjoy your cruise and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. The ship is intimate and we love that ship. We thought that was a huge ship till our son went in the Navy. We have been fortunate over the years to have gone on all the different classes of ships. I love the Oasis class of ships while the wife prefers the smaller ships. -

Will be on Anthem in September. One of our stops is Boston. I will attempt to salvage as much tea as possible while we are in port. Nothing better than a glass of ice cold green tea. Oh and then the ultimate is a Long Island Tea. YUM!!!!!! -
And cheaper liquor prices. And Jack Daniel products that I can`t find in Tennessee. And yet it`s produced here. Go figure. And FRESH SEAFOOD. YUM !!!!

That`s why we are moving back to Florida this fall. Lots of ports to choose from and no more airline hassles. And 3 grandchildren.

No passport. How bad will it be?

Hopefully you are not going to Canada or Europe where you will need a passport. -
Not Just RC Screwing with Travel Plans This Weekend

Personally save the money and AVOID Houston. Go thru Chicago. I grew up there and worked at the airport. Bad weather can screw up plane travel in numerous airports. Or do as Jason L said stay over an extra day. It`s a crap shoot. Your flight could get cancelled or rerouted while you are still in London. -
Very few crew members are from the U.S. Long hours and cramped living quarters. And if you don`t like it that 6 to 9 month contract can seem like an eternity. And yes we all have dreams that change as time passes.

Just noticed your address. My wife is from there.

Also the fridge is a cooler and not a true refrigerator.

We totally agree with your husband. We did our first cruise many years ago on Enchantment during spring break. What a nightmare. It was a 5 day cruise and early on day 3 they ran out of beer. Somehow there was no mutiny on the bounty. The longer the cruise the more drinking they can do.

Lets not forget WKRP. GO BUCS

Say no more. I fully understand.

Better yet power down the phone and put it in the safe till the cruise is over. The peace and tranquility is amazing. A dry eraser or post it notes work great. We tell everyone if their is an emergency just call RC and they will contact us. Don`t worry be happy. And ENJOY the cruise.

Hopefully rjac has done neither of the 2 mentioned items.

Pay early. Get a good travel agent. We mark our calendar 3 weeks out. Each week says cruise final payment. Our TA sends us e mails and calls as well.

Have been there several times. We do the beach and then hit the boardwalk and have a great place to go and get a bite to eat. Can`t remember the name, but it is on the second floor. It`s a husband and wife place. Lovely couple. We have never done an excursion there. We simply love St. Maarten.

Last year we were going to Mr. Sancho`s and paid the 5 dollar fee to gain access. We got into port and saw 5 cruise ships. We said no way and ended up at San Francisco beach. Best waste of $10 dollars ever. Talked to many who went to Mr. Sancho`s and they stated it was insanely crowded. WAAAYTOOO put it best.

Skagway Brewery is FUN. Been there and will do it again. To catch and release is ZERO fun. Copper River salmon is excellent eating if you can ever get some. Nice quaint town. very relaxing place to be.

Avoid Dunn`s River Falls. It can be very dangerous. We actually are doing more and more 3rd party excursions and they have all been really good and never an issue. Several have policies that give a full refund for various reasons. Yes RC has a lot more protection for you when using theirs. Pretty much a personal preference.
