  1. love this posting - Celebrity is a different line and has some really excellent upgraded I think benefits And ships make a difference too - Elite is a great status to walk into with some already nice additions and they do give some extra things in suites as well. Laundry is a great one!
  2. Happy to help you answer some questions. send me an email to [email protected]
  3. yikes i'm flying into San Juan on Saturday to Board the Freedom on sunday - hope its all good by then
  4. Hi John - yes, as long as there is still a balance over $300 on that cruise you can - and I would suggest though holding that FCC until the last minute before you apply it to a cruise (has a year expiration date) I have not seen them convert to OBC, others?
  5. Hi there We hold a lot of group space and have a consortium we work with that has some too we can access Its not every date - but its something your agent can easily look for if needed for you. Nice thing is group rates (for 2 guests only) are always refundable deposits
  6. Hi - FCC is issued in each person's name and has a 1 year expiration date on it So if you cannot go it should still be good just for you to use on another sailing FCC's are tricky - and best if you apply it right before your final payment on a cruise to make sure you are getting all other needed discounts. It is alot of work and if you do not think you get the correct answer, call back in and ask again- lots of new agents at RCI all the time
  7. thanks for the extra support and giving up airlines points - Always happy to help out your family
  8. thanks for the recommendation! - just keep in mind too that some ships have SOLO cabins and they are priced without having the true double occupancy hit of extra money. Many cruise lines do this as do River cruise lines, so always ask to look for ships with the single room option
  9. can't wait to work with you ladies ! patiently waiting for July 4th sale...
  10. Hmm - coming up with ideas of how to broaden my communication ?
  11. Thanks Joe as always for your support of MEI-Travel - happy selling
  12. Yes, you are right - If your current cruise you are on is booked with an agency you DO not wish to stay with Just tell the Next Cruise agent you do not want to work with any agency - you just want Royal Caribbean to maintain the booking Then once you are home, you can transfer it to us at MEI-Travel. We are happy to look at any take over cruises for you to take over! Thanks for the support
  13. so I think it is Always better to book onboard because they give you benefits and OBC that are great for you. And they give you 30days to make changes to the booking, without penalties so its a win/win I think. They yes, transferring it an MEI Agent when you get home is easy to do! thanks for asking and for supporting Matt's blog.
  14. Hi - I love that you never pull your room key out for anything - so drinks are included, gratuities, munchies onboard, coffees I think the food is better than Royal, and really like the smallness of the ship. They do offer upgraded drink packages for better alcohol for small upgrade fee like $16 per person, per day. They have very little entertainment - mostly Music groups that play at pool and evening Some late night shows, but my friend was bored, lol- I think what draws people is in many of their ports they stay in port until later, so you can really see a city at night time as well. The ships are nice and small which I like too, and the Staff I thought was great. I have always sailed them on smaller or shorter cruises, this one being on 4 nights was a great deal and they do have many of these that come out. Still a great cruise to sail for a short duration for sure. Michelle

  16. Absolutely loved Cuba and Azamara. I think what surprised me the most was the ease of the VISA process. When we got to the Pier in Miami, FL we had to fill out a form indicating if we had a tour booked with the cruise line, private tour operator, or independent guide. Once we filled this out, they gave us a blank VISA to fill out with our room key> If you have never been on Azamara, the check in process is a breeze and the port itself is so quiet and calm, Bonus of a smaller ship> Anyway - your account is charged, $75 for the Visa and be careful filling it out because if you mess it up, they charge you to get a new one. The morning we got to Cuba, we disembarked at leisure, right into the terminal and They good our VISA and stamped the passport, and let us go on our way> There is a money exchange right there, so I changed about $100 for ease to buy things. I did right outside of the ship in old town see some places taking US$ in smaller gift stores but they do not offer change, and most do not take $$> Getting back to the ship we just had to do a security screen, as usual. ON Day 2, I walked right off the ship, and right through security to Cuba without having a tour booked an was able to just walk around old town. NOT sure if this is just Azamara that allows this but it was nice just to walk around for 4-5 hours and see places in the downtown area.

  21. Let's talk Passports and Documents Even though I do tell clients what they need to bring with them to board a ship sometimes life gets in the way and they forget or find out last minute they don't have what they need. My rule of thumb is when I make final payment OR you make your final payment CHECK your passport or Documents and make sure they are in order. if not you still have some time> Trust me - I have had to run to DC and get a last minute passport for my husband because we could not find his current passport or His birth certificate and it cost me $500 but I did get it 4 days before sailing so it can be done, lol Don't make my mistake. Here below is what is actually written on your cruise document from ROYAL with links too. Before You Leave: Required Travel Documents and Identification It is the guest's responsibility to obtain all valid travel documents for their vacation. These valid travel documents such as passports, visas, inoculation certificate and family legal documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries. Guests should check with their travel agent and/or government authority to determine the travel documents needed for each destination, including the port of embarkation. Documentation and Immigration Requirements · Guests are highly encouraged to travel with a valid passport, even when not required · For your protection, we recommend that your passport expiration date does not occur within six (6) months of the sailing return date. · Some foreign ports of call require a visa. Please contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your sailing itinerary or the visa service of your choice for specific visa requirements, information, forms and fees for your nationality. Royal Caribbean suggests the visa provider, CIBT at www.visacentral.com/royalcaribbean or 1.800.858.8579 (identify yourself as a Royal Caribbean guest for discounted rates). · The spelling of the guest(s) name as booked for a cruise must match exactly as their valid passport or proof of citizenship / identification during ship check-in formalities. · Certain countries may have specific travel requirements for your itinerary. Please check any one of the websites below to understand what is necessary for your vacation. · All guests (including children) must present a valid passport when sailing on U.S. Open Loop voyages. These are voyages that commence in a U.S. port, travel within the Western Hemisphere, and end at a different U.S. port. When traveling on these sailings, please take extra caution in understanding the specific documentation requirements. · All guests (including children) require specific travel documents that may include either a passport or other documentation, such as a government-issued birth certificate and laminated government issued picture ID denoting photo, name and date of birth, when traveling on U.S. Closed Loop voyages. These are voyages that commence and end in the same U.S. port without leaving the western hemisphere. Please note that Baptismal papers, hospital certificates of birth, voter registration cards or Social Security cards are not considered proof of citizenship. Please view the websites below for more information. · Should the last names of the parent and minor child traveling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) and the child's birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation. · Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of a minor traveling with them must present an original notarized letter signed by the child's parent(s), authorizing the adult to take the child on the specific cruise, supervise the child and allow emergency medical treatment to be administered. · Guests on consecutive sailings must ensure they have the proper travel documents for their entire cruise vacation and for any port within their itinerary(s).
