Carlos A. got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in Insects in stateroom?
The bugs you don't want to find anywhere, specially on a cruise cabin are bedbugs... 🤮

Carlos A. reacted to Atricks in Brightline train to start service from Orlando to FLL and MIA this summer
Today is the first official day, and the first trains with passengers are already en route.

Carlos A. reacted to twangster in The Evolution of Cruising. Silver Origin to the Galapagos Islands
After dinner I ventured outside to see how the night sky was looking. The cloud cover from earlier remained so I returned to my cabin to go through some pictures.
Around 10:00pm I went out on my balcony and saw what I thought might be the Milky Way off my balcony. Sure enough an app confirmed it so I went out to the deck eight forward star gazing deck that I took the pictures of Kicker Rock from.
I haven't spent a lot of time tweaking this just yet, but here is what I captured with a long exposure.

I guess you aren’t setting foot in Europe either.
I’ve never seen soldiers with AR-15s on a beach in Mexico (and I am in Mexico ALOT)

You may be shocked to learn this but there are indeed scooter accidents in the US as well.

Renting a Scooter is a very dangerous activity, no matter where yo do it.

Carlos A. reacted to TXcruzer in Royal Caribbean 6 months passport validity requirement for Non US Citizen (TX -> Mexico -> TX)
I believe this question has too many nuances for anyone on this board to accurately advise on.
Good luck, and I hope it all works out.

Or don't travel without health insurance and a passport if you want to cover highly unlikely, albeit tragic, events.
Wishing this couple the best possible outcome!

Carlos A. got a reaction from barbeyg in I always completed my Post Cruise Survey's, until I overheard this!
I just don't get this nonsense corporate customer service culture.
Why use a scale of 1-10 if you are only considering 10 as good and everything else as bad.
Use then a scale of 1-3 and that's it.

Carlos A. got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in Balcony GTY Booking NOT Ocean View - Please Help
I looked up and this is what I found:
Your invoice should say: XB-GTY, if so, you have an oceanview balcony GTY, if it said XN is a Neighborhood balcony.
I have a GTY balcony reservation for Utopia and it says XB-GTY so I expect an oceanview balcony, not a neighborhood balcony.

Carlos A. reacted to RoyalGreg in Icon 2025/26 is out!!!
Actually...... Icon appears to be worse:
Disney pricing is for 2 guests including taxes and fees:
Royal pricing is based on double occupancy, and then you have to add taxes and fees. That interior becomes $4,782.30 for 2 adults:
Going out to 2026 (Disney hasn't scheduled that far) the same Icon sailing (leaving Jan 31) is $4,471.60 for 2 in the basic inside.
The inaugural Treasure sailing is exorbitantly priced. I figured comparing non-holiday sail dates would be the most fair method.

Carlos A. got a reaction from Jill in Suite Guarantee Question
Are there any JS on Boardwalk or CP? I think all the JS are Ocean View.

Ephesos Port Tours is the way to go! Highly recommended for very affordable private tours.

Carlos A. reacted to HeWhoWaits in Back to Back soda?
Must disagree with @Ryan79 unless something has changed recently.
Once activated, the cups have historically worked for 14 days on the same ship.
Keep in mind that the cups, if active, will only work for beverages from the Freestyle machines. All other refreshment package drinks will be charges.

Carlos A. reacted to Jill in Best of Ephesus Tour
It took us about 2 hours as we did a private tour for our group of 6. Our guide was excellent! It is a city in “ruins” so uneven footing.
If you have any hesitation, I’d highly recommend doing a private tour where you can go at your own pace and not feel stressed to keep up with a large cruise ship tour.
We booked with Ephesus Port Tours and it was VERY affordable and quite a bit less than Royal’s tour.

Carlos A. got a reaction from Vancity Cruiser in Question about isolation for virus situations
You're not required but you SHOULD isolate yourself in those cases and Norovirus too.

if you have to take actions to discourage people from getting something (in this case popcorn), it would be better not to offer it at all.

No. For privacy reasons that information is never made available.

Is it possible to get information about a crew member? Such as a email address or possibly a phone number.

Carlos A. reacted to Heymarco in Popcorn $$
I don't think anyone is really concerned about popcorn. It's more that Royal Caribbean is slowly exiting cruise industry and becoming more of a ferry service.
ie, Would I expect to be charged for popcorn on a cruise, heck no that stuff is dirt cheap. On a ferry, of course because I expect nothing more than the ship to get me from point A to B. Popcorn is one of many recent changes in that direction...

Carlos A. reacted to Pattycruise in Toiletries provided on board
Unless you are Diamond plus with 340+ points you would have the standard all in one body wash/shampoo in the shower and a small soap for the sink.

Carlos A. got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in Contact Royal Caribbean about this charging for pizza
Why? Charging for popcorn is stingy.
Princess doesn't do this.
