No, that's the original one. Facebook mysteriously re-instated it today

Carlos A. reacted to MattJump in 11:30 seems to be the earliest time slot now
Earliest check-in time from Galveston is now 11 am. This used to be 10 am a few years ago.

Here's a room tour of room #14548, which is right next to 14550. It's the closest view that I could find to those rooms. I found this by checking out cruisedeckplans.com - it's a fantastic resource for things like this! I hope it helps!

Guess we are sailing on the 1st attempt of this itinerary on July 20th...
Love being the test mouse...
Looking forward to some nice cheese...
Interested to see how show schedule and MDR Menu rotation is handled... (we do have a three night dining package to plan)

Carlos A. reacted to Ryan79 in Minor consent
If it’s a closed loop US based cruise you should be fine. I cruise all the time with my step son with no consent form filled out by his dad. Both his mom and I have different last names than he does. If it’s not a closed loop US based cruise, yes consent form from dad will be a very good idea!

Time to sail...
Irish Music Group will be on this sailing, not sure how venue availability will be affected... (I am not booked as part of this group)

It depends on how they entered the US in the first place. They will sometimes take pictures at their original port of entry for non-US nationals that are used in the Facial Recognition terminals later at the cruise ports.

Doesn't matter how long have you been using them or if you think it's Ok to go to the Windjammer for 1 hour or more.
Chair space is limited, if you are not using your chair for more than 30 minutes it's time to let it go for someone else to use it. It's that simple.

So why not go reserve a windjammer table for the day, too?

How in the heck did you clear customs without your passports after you got off the ship?

If you're dropping stuff off at 9:00 and not using the chairs until after lunch, that's far more than an hour (chair hog). If you're using the chairs from 9:00 until you leave for lunch, that's a different story and the staff monitoring the chairs (as well as other passengers) would have seen you there throughout the morning (NOT a chair hog).

i'll be the naysayer on this policy. If I choose to get up and head to the pool deck at 9:00 to get some seats i should be able to go to lunch for an hour and come back to my stuff. Maybe the right solution is to sell reserved chairs on the cruise planner. Then I can buy them and leave them empty all day if i want.

In some ships you can do this on board with the maître d'. You can also do this the day of on the reception podium at the Beach Club.

It was just a clarification. The way your sentence was phrased could have been interpreted, by someone who doesn't otherwise know, as implying that purchasing the Key could grant access to CK.

Carlos A. reacted to Leigh from ATL in Lost & Found after Debarkation
You do realize that “taking” jewelryfrom the safe that knowingly isn’t yours is theft. It’s not finders keepers especially if they left it in the safe. Send it back to royal and they can try to track down the person in the room before you or see claims filed. Asking them to have their client contact you? That’s just stealing and trying to assuage your conscience. Send it back. You’ll sleep better and we all need to be supporting other cruisers even the dumb ones not checking their safe. 👍

And nothing, the Key doesn't gives access to Coastal Kitchen, it has nothing to do one thing with the other.

Carlos A. reacted to teddy in The Eclipse ...
We have an off grid camp that was smack dab in the middle of the path.
It took some work to get there because it’s very isolated, way in the woods and still winter, but we made it. 20 miles off the tar road and we were able to get within a half mile of camp. Thank goodness for 4wd, good tires, self recovery equipment, and the fact that the road had been plowed a few times this winter for logging…..and also for one of our kids who suggested we get eclipse glasses six months ago.
Unlike most people in the state, we were totally alone when we saw it. It’s the first eclipse we’ve seen in our 55 years.
It was neat to hear coyotes yipping and geese honking when the sun was covered. All the birds went silent, too.
In the negative column was the drive home. A 3-1/2 to 4 hour drive took us just under 9 hours. We saw plates from 32 different states.

Carlos A. reacted to chodnett in Just Back from Oasis - Review + Ask Me Anything!
Hey all!
We are just back from our Spring Break Oasis of the Seas sailing, which sailed away on Easter Sunday. Below are my key takeaways from the cruise, and I'm open to any questions you may have.
Notes:
This was an Easter sailing, which sailed away on Easter Sunday. There were over 2,000 kids on this particular cruise. Our original itinerary included Labadee, but it got switched out with CocoCay, giving us back-to-back days at Perfect Day. We were in an Oceanview stateroom on the 3rd deck. Highlights
Aqua80 is just the best show at sea. I would sail Oasis just to watch this show. One of our Perfect Day stops was shared with Symphony of the Seas. I was worried about crowds, but the island handled it so well! This may have been one of the best bar staffs I've ever encountered. All of them were friendly, and the service was fast! There were several surprise and delights on this trip, including balloon animals every morning in the Windjammer. Low-lights
The Supercell Waterslide was broken the entire week. There were some unexpected signs of wear and tear across the ship. Hot tubs were in dire need of resurfacing, there was more rust than I'm used to seeing on Royal, and we noticed several dining chairs with rips and tears. Our stateroom attendant was unusually rude. On debarkation day at 7:45 am, he knocked on our door and told us to hurry up and check out because he was coming in at 8 am to start cleaning whether we left or not. Yikes. I'm still concerned about the quality of the free food around the ships. Since COVID, I've noticed a pattern of decreased food quality.
