Sandya, I'm like you and have only sailed DCL in recent years. I'm going on the Disney Fantasy at the end of this month, but am going on Allure at the end of August 2014. I'm so excited for both, but I'll be interested to see what you think of RCCL after DCL :) I already know what Matt think! ;)

Thanks everyone for the replies! From what I'm reading, it sounds exactly like the situation on DCL! :) My usual "cruise" wardrobe (plus some new additions) should be just fine!

That's my issue with last-minute deals. Unless you live in the departure city, the cost of flights will outweigh the savings of a last minute deal.

Boy did I take advantage of kids sail free promo! Aug 31 on Allure, and Nov 29 on Oasis.... Then Quantum group cruise in March!

Hi all... Going on our first RCCL cruise in 8 years, and this time bringing the kids! Usually loyal to DCL, we have decided to take advantage of the Kids Sail Free Promo. We were able to get a Promenade Stateroom for a phenomenal price! The square footage is not too too bad, and I like the idea of having an interior window, but I have been hearing/reading that there is no privacy as the window sees right into the across the way neighbours. Has anyone here stayed in one these rooms? If so, what did you like/dislike about it?
