  1. The new CDC guidance says fully vaccinated people can: Visit other vaccinated people indoors without masks or physical distancing Visit indoors with unvaccinated people from a single household without masks or physical distancing, if the unvaccinated people are at low risk for severe disease. Skip quarantine and testing if exposed to someone who has Covid-19 but are asymptomatic, but should monitor for symptoms for 14 days However, people who are fully vaccinated still need to take precautions in many scenarios. The guidelines say fully vaccinated people must: Wear a mask and keep good physical distance around the unvaccinated who are at increased risk for severe Covid-19, or if the unvaccinated person has a household member who is at higher risk Wear masks and physically distance when visiting unvaccinated people who are from multiple households. In addition, fully vaccinated people should continue basic safety precautions, including: wearing a mask that fits well and keeping physical distance in public; avoiding medium- and large-sized crowds; avoiding poorly ventilated public spaces; washing hands frequently; and getting tested for Covid-19 if they feel sick. Thousands of students have dropped out of school due to Covid-19. These are the educators trying to track them down If fully vaccinated people live in a non-health care congregate setting, such as a group home or detention facility, they should quarantine for 14 days and get tested if exposed to someone with a suspected or confirmed Covid-19 case. The guidelines say that the risk of infection in social activities like going to the gym or restaurant is lower for the fully vaccinated. However, people should still take precautions, as transmission risk in these settings is higher and increases the more unvaccinated people are involved.
  2. Look it up. It's been said months ago. CDC just gives lip-service to cover their tracks. They don't even know what is what.
  3. Since when have you seen anyone really listen to the CDC about not traveling?? Through this whole pandemic travel has decreased but it's still going on. Hence, Spring Break.
  4. Yep. I agree 100%. The CDC doesn't want to get caught with their pants down. I will still wear my mask at gatherings as the CDC also claims that even if you had COVID and/or received the vaccination, you can be a carrier. They really don't make sense. There is a Spanish cliche that goes, "Te peinas o te hace rulos. No puedes hacer los dos a la misma vez." In English, "You either comb your hair or do curlers. You can't do both at the same time."
  5. GREAT NEWS!!!! IF RCG and other cruise lines mandate COVID vaccinations, we can cruise!!! GIVEN THIS PRE-REQUISITE IF CRUISE LINES DO IT, the CDC can FINALLY do their job and open up those ports!!! I see no reason why CDC would still keep these ports shut!! -------------------------------- Fully-vaccinated people can gather without masks, CDC says By MIKE STOBBE27 minutes ago 1 of 3 FILE - Medical Assistant Keona Shepard holds up the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as she prepares to administer it at the New Orleans Ernest N. (Chris Granger/The Advocate via AP, File) NEW YORK (AP) — Fully-vaccinated Americans can gather with other vaccinated people indoors without wearing a mask or social distancing, according to long-awaited guidance from federal health officials. The recommendations also say that vaccinated people can come together in the same way with people considered at low-risk for severe disease, such as in the case of vaccinated grandparents visiting healthy children and grandchildren. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the guidance Monday. The guidance is designed to address a growing demand, as more adults have been getting vaccinated and wondering if it gives them greater freedom to visit family members, travel, or do other things like they did before the COVID-19 pandemic swept the world last year. “We know that people want to get vaccinated so they can get back to doing the things they enjoy with the people they love,” said CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, in a statement. The CDC also advised vaccinated people to get tested if they develop symptoms that could be related to COVID-19. Officials say a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the last required dose of vaccine. About 30 million Americans — or only about 9% of the U.S. population — have been fully vaccinated with a federally authorized COVID-19 vaccine so far, according to the CDC. Full Coverage: Coronavirus pandemic Authorized vaccine doses first became available in December, and they were products that required two doses spaced weeks apart. But since January, a small but growing number of Americans have been fully vaccinated, and have been asking questions like: Do I still have to wear a mask? Can I go to a bar now? Can I finally see my grandchildren? ___ The Associated Press Health and Science Department receives support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Department of Science Education. 6. Let's just say the airlines tickets must be paid 100% in full in order for seat selections can be made.
  7. That's why you put a hold/reserve until final payment. This way, you aren't liable for the $215 cancellation charge if you decide to cancel your flight.
  8. Keep in mind you will only sail through locks into Gutan Lake and do an about face. A transit is so worth it. Can't wait to do it again.

  10. You missed the part about only having to hit a foreign port once, for example, by going to CocoCay. The remaining would be sea days. That wold satisfy the requirement easily.
  11. RCG can do these "Staycations". They only have to hit a foreign port once, for example, by going to CocoCay and sea days galor. No one would mind ?? ‐----‐------------------- Cruise Line Announces Staycation Cruises to Nowhere This Summer By Ben Souza from CruiseFever.com March 3, 2021 0 P&O Cruises, one of Carnival Corporation’s nine cruise lines, will offer a series of short and week long cruises from the UK this summer. These “staycation” cruises will sail around UK waters and go on sale in March. Photo Credit: Brian Burnell Own work via Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “Following recent Government announcements and as the vaccine programme is rolled out across the globe we can all begin to feel a sense of reassurance and hope that this current lockdown period in the UK will come to an end. Life can, we hope, slowly return to some semblance of our previous normality as hospitality opens up and summer holidays can be booked with confidence. “Whilst holidays here in the UK will be the first to become a reality we will, of course, gradually see the return of international travel but first we want guests to be able to enjoy a proper summer holiday at sea with the best in relaxation, entertainment and dining choice. “These sailings will leave from our home port in Southampton and sail around UK coastal waters enjoying the summer sunshine. More details of dates, prices and the experience on board will be announced later this month, but they will, of course, all have flexibility so guests can book with confidence. “We hope that the UK “ultimate escape” staycation option will have wide appeal and we will do our utmost to make it a very special time. There really will be something for everyone and the opportunity to spend precious and much-longed for time with family and friends. “In order to offer these UK breaks it does mean that unfortunately we need to cancel some of our current published programme of holidays this summer. Cruises on Arcadia, Aurora, Azura and Ventura have been cancelled until the end of August and on Britannia and Iona until the end of September. “We remain in very close contact with the UK Government and associated bodies as we monitor the latest situation and guidance on travel. From the moment we see travel restrictions lifting we will begin the significant logistical task to re-start our operations. It will take some time for the first ship to return to service, followed by the phased return of the remaining fleet. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back on board with the protection of effective protocols to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all crew and guests. “I really am so sorry for the disappointment these cancellations will cause but hope that the new UK cruises will enable everyone to enjoy a wonderful holiday this summer.” Guests who were booked on one of the canceled cruises can receive a full refund or a 125% Future Cruise Credit for any new booking made by December 2021.
  12. The CDC is just doing their job in advising everyone of the “Level 4: COVID-19 Very High” warning (the CDC’s highest) that all Americans are being encouraged to avoid all travel to these destinations. The operative word in their announcement is "avoid". The CDC is not stopping you from traveling to these destinations via airplane, etc. But, I will tell anyone & everyone what I told a colleague of mine who thought he was "Slick Rick" and didn't listen to a similar warning and became infected with COVID and spread it to family: “You Reap What You Sow”.
  13. First-ever space hotel slated to be operational by 2027 By NY Post - Hannah Frishberg - RMarch 1, 2021 An out-of-this-world hotel is just a few years away from becoming a reality. This decade will see the start and completion of construction on humanity’s first hotel in outer space, according to the group behind it, Orbital Assembly. The 3-year-old company plans to begin building Voyager Station in low Earth orbit in 2025, and believes its interstellar resort may be operational as soon as 2027, the Daily Mail reported. Renderings of the celestial hotel are cosmic-chic: Individual pods are attached to a rotating wheel, with tubes connecting the different areas forming an X, similar to the wheel’s spokes. The company Orbital Assembly Corporation has revealed it plans to begin construction on the Voyager Station — humanity’s first space hotel — in 2025. The celestial resort will reportedly be operational by 2027. Voyager Station Guests won’t be paying only for the novelty of the setting — there will be a slew of onboard amenities, including themed restaurants, a health spa, a cinema, gyms, libraries, concert venues, Earth-viewing lounges and bars, in addition to rooms for 400 people. Necessities including crew quarters, air, water and power will also take up a portion of the space facility. The company Orbital Assembly announced plans to begin construction on the Voyager Station — humanity’s first space hotel — in 2025. Voyager Station Orbital Assembly hopes to also sell portions of the hotel to permanent stakeholders, including government agencies looking to use the site as a training center or landlords looking to create a villa aboard the craft. It will reportedly circle the globe every 90 minutes, and the circle’s rotation will generate artificial gravity similar to that on the moon. No construction costs have been revealed. Orbital’s celestial resort will reportedly be operational by 2027. Voyager Station “This will be the next industrial revolution,” said John Blincow, the founder of Gateway Foundation, which will run some of the Voyager’s pods, according to the Daily Mail. The rotation aspect is “vital,” he added. Without gravity, people cannot viably be on a space station for a prolonged time; Orbital aims to make multimonth stays on the Voyager a possibility. “People need gravity so their bodies won’t fall apart,” Blincow explained. A robot by the name of STAR (Structure Trust Assembly Robot) is set to build the Voyager’s frame in orbit once the company completes some gravity-related testing. The Structure Trust Assembly Robot, answering to STAR, is set to build the Voyager’s frame. voyager-station-4.webp voyager-station-3.webp voyager-station-2.webp voyager-station-1.webp
  14. You chose your seat with payment made or without payment made?
  15. I would add that the only issue with Air2Sea is that you cannot reserve your seat till payment is made. You don't have the option either to see if the seat you want is available. But I do agree in reserving the charter flight. You have nothing to lose especially if the pricing drops.
  16. That's what they've been doing all alone since this whole thing started.
  17. Just sharing the info RCG released today which has additional information on options. It doesn't apply to everyone but those who seek this info now have it disposable to them.

  19. What I find interesting in this announcement is: "In conjunction with Israel's health and tourism authorities, Royal Caribbean will be the first to offer fully vaccinated sailings, where both crew and guests above the age of 16 will be vaccinated against COVID-19. Details on the additional health and safety measures to be implemented by Israel and Royal Caribbean will be announced at a later date." A set up for other countries to follow suit? The future will tell.
  20. I have yet to see any RCG cabins without single supplement pricing BUT have noticed prices have risen.
