  1. NCL's sailing suspensions were through June 2021 per their last announcement copy below. Supposedly, there is a new announcement forthcoming per C S. Rep I spoke with. Updated March 16, 2021: Your safety is our #1 priority—both on and off our ships. Due to the current global environment, we are extending the suspension of cruises to include all cruises embarking through June 2021.
  2. Really? Well there goes the September Med cruise I booked. That sucks.
  3. Can this be another sign of more cancellations coming? Signals coming from NCL's website, if history repeats itself, as it has been doing for the past year, well ... you know the rest of the story.
  4. Port workers are Federal employees. Unless there are employed by a private entity at the port.
  5. To clarify, this is directed ONLY to businesses conducting in the State of Florida. Doesn't include cruises as that is out of DeSantis reach.
  6. In order for cruises to restart for the general public, all conditions of the CSO must be met and as of today, it will not be as the CDC has not given further guidance nor have they been forthcoming with information. The U.S. is no closer to cruises resuming than they were six months ago. That is why RCG took matters into their own hands by homeporting elsewhere which was a smart move. CHECKMATE CDC !!
  7. There will be NO cruises in the month of June from any U.S. ports.
  8. That's your opinion before watching it. Give it a chance. They might surprise you and you actually might learn something.
  9. ... AT 9:00PM ET ON HBO AND HBO MAX !! Must Watch !! The Last Cruise documents the experiences of people onboard the now infamous Diamond Princess cruise ship, where an uncontained COVID-19 outbreak at the start of the pandemic became a global spectacle and a faraway symbol of the new virus and its potential to upend any sense of normalcy.
  10. As with any business, they look out for numero uno ... themselves. They are trying to survive, as we all are during this pandemic, but at the cruiser's expense. It's the nature of the beast.
  11. And here I thought political topics, associations or websites aren't allowed. Hmmmm.... ?
  12. Did I read somewhere about a Health Visa?? Is this mandatory for cruises as well as land?
  13. @JeffB Thanks for the great article! I truly hope Greece does open up to U.S. citizens. It's time to sail again!!
  14. Let me rephrase it. The CDC publicly made a statement reiterating that the no-sail order is to remain in place until Nov. 1st despite cruise association requests. Here and now, ALL cruise lines have been put on notice publicly. Inasmuch, are ANY cruise lines going to drag the cancellations and/or keep taking the public's money via reservations for the dates of the "order" despite they now know that nothing is moving till later this year?? IF the cruise lines take that stance, they could be facing a class-action suit. Knowing and willful deceit is frowned upon in any business transaction. Case at bar: The prohibition of 18 U.S.C. § 1001 requires that the false statement, concealment or cover up be "knowingly and willfully" done, which means that "The statement must have been made with an intent to deceive, a design to induce belief in the falsity or to mislead, but § 1001 does not require an intent to defraud -- that is, the intent to deprive someone of something by means of deceit." United States v. Lichenstein, 610 F.2d 1272, 1276-77 (5th Cir.), cert. denied, 447 U.S. 907 (1980). This is something that ALL cruise lines should really take their time and think as I'm already seeing talk about legal ramifications.
  15. Just crossed my mind that U.S. citizens are not allowed into Europe. Has that changed???
  16. NOW that the CDC announced no sailing till November, let's see what RCG is going to do with all those months of reservations. RCG and other cruise lines have just been put on notice by the CDC. Cancellations and/or still take cruisers money. I can smell a class action brewing.
  17. As I do my poor imitation of @monctonguy, "I said this was going to happen but noooooooooo, nobody listens." ?????????
  18. Never said it was a problem. Just stated the obvious that most people overlooked and when they go to book in their asked for fulll payment, BAMMM!!, they don't have it or think RCG's payment policy changed as well. Over at Cruise Critic boards, they're already putting out misinformation about final/full payment being pushed a month which is not true. Per RCG, they are currently no changes in payment policies with these sailings.
