alamode123 reacted to Pooch in Mad at Royal Caribbean-- charged without consent and overcharged.
In the future, a little research on your part will help avoid these issues. My guess is your problem is with the family member not Royal.

alamode123 reacted to twangster in Arrival at port
I've seen a lot of posts about arriving early to check in. Both on this this site and on social media sites. It's like people are secretly hoping someone will tell them it's okay to arrive early. It's not.
The arrival times are in place for a purpose and to ensure no one experiences a miserable start to their cruise vacation. Standing around in the rain or the Florida heat and humidity for hours is not a great way to start a cruise vacation. The security lines and check in lanes are not designed for everyone arriving in large masses. When guests ignore their appointment times and arrive early it makes for a miserable experience for everyone including folks who hold the proper arrival time appointments who arrive on time.
It's not okay to arrive early. If you arrive early you are not just part of the problem, you are the problem.

Too much of anything can make people too critical. Disney fans are horrible for this.

alamode123 got a reaction from Chris Fish in RCL vs. Disney
You can go on two to three RCL cruises for the price of one similar DCL cruises.
More choices in food, even included food, than DCL. More ship sizes, itineraries, things to do, better entertainment.
Disney is great for people with little kids, but IMO isn't worth the cost otherwise. And I'm a huge Disney fan.

alamode123 got a reaction from teddy in What are some things onboard the ship that just make you cringe?
People who forget there are others on the ship.
People that want everyone else to know they are taking full advantage of their drink package.

alamode123 got a reaction from kadmgs in Invicta watches on board, SCAM !!!
I bought Disney prints from Park West, but I knew the prices beforehand. Got them framed on the ship for the unframed price at Walt Disney World.
Park West is an auction. If you know what you're bidding on you can get good deals.

alamode123 got a reaction from fireclan in I think a lot of people are overlooking ...
My point was you can't scientifically know one way or the other which is safer, because you can't get similar data to compare.
Feeling safer, guessing it would be safer etc. isn't scientific.

alamode123 got a reaction from Chawkjewel in I think a lot of people are overlooking ...
The infection rates are measured differently on land and on a ship.
On a ship, it's generally the total population that is calculated, hence the 1%. On land, it's the percentage TESTED, not the total population.
If you're going with the scientific experiment theme, it's best to be accurate and compare apples to apples. On a percent of the entire population, ships and on land, the popular data isn't data isn't really what it seems.

Yesterday there was a new travel advisory by the Canadian government. Just wondering what people are doing if anything?
I'm 30 days away from my cruise and panicking.
