  1. I haven't tried LogMeIn but Teamviewer worked for me onboard Oasis.
  2. Attached is the letter that was in my stateroom showing the benefits of a Gold member. You unfortunately will not see these on your cruise, but it will give an idea of what you can look forward to with your next cruise. Gold Member Benefits.pdf
  3. Onboard Oasis the beginning of September I had a 2 device Surf+Stream plan. I got one password. My phone and my wife's phone both signed on at the same time. If I wanted to use my tablet, I just turned off the wifi on my phone (android) and then logged on with my Surface tablet. No problems. Did the reverse when required. Same worked for my wife with iphone / ipad. We never had to log-out in order to change devices.
  4. I am just off the Oasis and saw Cats last Friday afternoon. The upper deck seats are not too good because the safety rail at the front of the section is too tall and cuts off the mid stage area. People in front rows usually lean forward to see under the rail which blocks the view for anyone behind them. I noticed most of the action happening on and off stage was from center to stage right. The left section of the seating didn't get much interaction at all. If you want full interaction, sit on the right aisle lower section near the front. Hope you enjoy the show. It is not as bad as many have reported. Learn a bit of the back story before you go. It helps.
  5. Just back from Oasis. I was in a Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony Class D7, #8154. I have taken some photos of the electrical outlets available in this room for your reference. Not all staterooms will have the same but it is a good starting point. This is on top of the vanity. Below the vanity, both 110 and 220 volts A hidden gem beneath the bed by the phone. Hope this helps for everyone. Bob
  6. We paid $22.99 for an 8x10 picture onboard Oasis September 10th cruise.
  7. Pam; In a nutshell, flying UK to US is done during the day. Flying from US to UK is done overnight. There appears to be many flights leaving LHR to MIA throughout the day. BA has 07:25, 9:45, 10:40, 11:00, 11:15, 11:35, 12:25, 14:05. None of these would get you to Miami in time to catch your ship. You would have to fly the day before and stay overnight in Miami/Fort Lauderdale. No problems there; an extra night of the fine south Florida weather, and get up fresh for your cruise the next morning. Hope you enjoy your holiday.
  8. We are flying BA from Glasgow to Miami through Heathrow in 3 weeks. Flights from LHR arrive in MIA at around 1500 and 1825 on BA. We did not book through RCCL but an online agent. This is not recommended as we are having difficulty in upgrading our flights. Have used RCCL in 2013 and flights were the same and easier managed. They used BA at that time. If you have any questions I can do my best to answer them or can check things on the flight that I am taking and get back to you if your wish.
  9. You need to put money into the machine. The sea pass card only keeps track that you are playing. You can go to the cash cage in the casino, or cash machine to get cash. Cash cage can give you cash and charge it to your onboard account. Cash machine will be used for a debit card or credit card.
  10. Transfer shuttles are run by the hotel that you'll be staying in (or arranged through them) and only paid by RCCL. The times would be available from the hotel reception desk at check-in. Voucher for the shuttle is in the cruise docs.
  11. Thanks for the info Billy. I've been looking for some kind of fare estimator. Your info is very helpful. Unfortunately I'm coming from the UK so I have to fly into Miami and not Fort Lauderdale.
  12. Has anyone taken an Uber from Miami International Airport to the Cruise Port in Port Everglades (Ft Lauderdale)? Can the Uber get into the port to drop off? About how much was the fare? Thanks in advance.
  13. I had Premium booked for our September Oasis cruise. Then RCCL came up with the 20% discount on the drink packages. I repriced and found if I went Ultimate I would actually save $8 pppd. Cancelled the premium and re-booked the ultimate. Love my fresh OJ with breakfast.
  14. In the bottom left corner, click on "change Theme". Then click on "IP.Board Mobile". I still do not see how to change the viewing order though.
  15. At the bottom of your screen is should show Change Theme. click on that and select IP.Board Mobile
  16. Fi was great even when Google throttled data connection speeds while abroad to 256Mbps. But that cap has been removed, so now you can get the full speed of the local carrier. This is huge news because it's an unprecedented service. Google claims that it now is "able to deliver speeds 10-20X faster than before." This is a sudden, unexpected and dizzying upgrade from 2G to LTE, where available -- and all for a simple, low price. From: http://www.computerworld.com/article/3095992/wireless-networking/why-google-fi-because-its-fast-cheap-and-easy.html Dated Jul 18, 2016
  17. Congratulations on 43 years. Hope I can put up with my wife that long. The cake was only about 1/2 the height of the cake. The rest was all icing. Way too sweet for my liking. (cake pretty good tho.
  18. I just booked Chef's Table at £70 after is was £65 2 days earlier. Looked yesterday and it is now £73 as the exchange rate is making a turn upwards. I would be surprised if it went back to the lower price before your cruise. We cruise early September and once I saw things going up I made a jump on it. It might level out but I cannot see it going back down. Being American living in UK I have always watched the $-£ rates. The lowest I have ever seen it was in 1986 at $1.28/£. We managed to get down to $1.29/£ right after the Brexit vote but it's going back up now. ($1.32 this morning.)
  19. Congrats on 26 years. Hope you enjoy your cruise. We did Oasis for our 25th so decided to visit her again in September.
  20. Congrats on the 20 years. The Med is great but I wasn't too taken by cruising around it. Love the ports so I would probably rather just do the land based myself. I've done 2 Med cruises on Thompson Cruise Lines (UK based). Maybe RCCL would do it better. (Who am I kidding???? Of course they can) Hope you get to go. It would be great.
  21. Yesterday was our 28th anniversary. The family surprised us with a cake made in the shape of our home away from home. Guess where we are headed in September:
  22. Yes Sarah - It is really disappointing to me, being American and used to a bit of customer care, to be living in the UK and being told "we don't do that" or "that doesn't apply to the UK". I spent 20 years in the US Navy and can't even get a military discount because my TA is in the UK.
