  1. I don't think any of us would know the answer. Did you ask your DMV is you could fly with that id? If so, then I would *think* you'd be ok but none of us really know the answer. It would be a long 2 day drive home if you can't board with quite a bit of money lost.
  2. Is your DMV open tomorrow? Is there any way to get a state id? I assume you don't have a passport? I don't know your answer but I'd do everything possible to get some type of legal id before heading out.
  3. They are definitely high but Southwest and Spirit are the only ones that I can find to fly non stop and Spirit is more! I guess I'm used to paying for very high fares for spring break!
  4. I started checking at 6 am Central time and it was released around 6:15-6:20ish. Right when I needed to wake up my son for school. Sorry son, have breakfast in the car!
  5. Just a quick reminder to those looking for Spring Break flights on Southwest. March and April are now available to book. Mine are done and in the time it took me to input 4 names and birthday, my fare was not available ?and I ended up paying $70 more each.
  6. I just started reading this and I'm so excited for you. I lived in China for a few years. I love your attitude of an open mind. A few tips: It will sound like everyone is always mad and shouting. They aren't, it is the language and tones. Just take some getting used to. You do need to be demanding and firm if you want something. You can't wait for your waitress to bring you the check, or another drink, but you need to ask for it. It is considered rude to bring the check before it is requested. Don't stand in line waiting your turn. You will need to push yourself ahead or you will be left waiting forever. There is no personal space, it will be ok. Bring addresses of places you want to go written in Chinese characters, not pinyin. Many taxi drivers can't read pinyin and our translation of Mandarin is terrible as we can't do the tones. If you can't do the tones, they have no idea what you are saying. Have a great time! I LOVE shopping in Bangkok but love the islands even more!
  7. Technically it is 16 but my kids have been using it since age 13. They know the proper way to behave in a gym and a parent was always with them. No one ever said anything. I will see young teens in the gym and no one bothers them as long as they aren't goofing around.
  8. Which port? So many of these sound alike so not sure which one you are talking about.
  9. @boobook Welcome to the boards! Don't be shy to start a new topic to ask your question! Yes you can change names in the cabins without repricing the reservation as long as one name stays on the original reservation (assuming you booked in North America). So in your case, switch around to take advantage of the drink package.. When you get onboard, you will need to go to guest services to get room only keys. You will need to carry around the key and your seapass card.
  10. I saw the spa one once. You must be present to win and from what I remember the $500 in spa treatments was broken up into several smaller prizes (around $250 so still nice for a treatment). I wouldn't do it again.
  11. I have been to both and prefer Labadee. Falmouth is fine if you want to go to Blue Hole but we love Labadee for a beach day.
  12. They should eat on their own and go to the meet n greet. 9:30 will be too late as any ice breaker games will be over.
  13. Spring Break cruises sail full. Not just full of cabins with double occupancy but every room is almost full with its max occupancy. We cruise every year for Spring Break. The crew is used to it and adjust people to AO to accommodate so many kids. By April, there are very few colleges out for Spring Break. You will see multigenerational families or large groups of family friends. Of course, those adults could rival college kids on the pool deck!
  14. Your teens can be in their own room if it is connecting or adjoining (next to) your stateroom. You can also have them directly across from your stateroom. We always get connecting rooms but it could be too late for those to be available. Using a TA really helps getting the rooms together.
  15. You won't have to climb over the pulled out couch to use the bathroom. There is just enough room but it is very tight. Oasis class balcony rooms are very small for 4 people. If your budget can afford it, look at getting 2 staterooms.
  16. Harmony is showing $17.59 (20% off) for 1 device. I find that voom has decreased the closer to my sailings unlike some other things. Wishful thinking that this happens again!
  17. We live on the edge and have made a 9:45 am flight out of FLL (Symphony) and a 9:30 flight out of MIA (Navigator) from terminal A. The Navigator one was a bit tighter than I would have liked as the ship didn't start disembarking until 7:45 where Symphony disembarked at around 6:45 (lined up at 6:30). Once self disembarkation started, we were off the ship and to the curb in 8 minutes, grabbed a lyft 2 minutes later and we were eating breakfast in the FLL airport by 7:45. Of course there is a million things that could go wrong but we were willing to risk it vs taking a much later flight. I agree with @AshleyDillo that the longer you wait the messier the traffic is by Terminal A. If your flight is at 11:30, then I'd try to get off the ship at 8:30 to give yourself an extra hour just in case. I'd rather sit in the airport for an hour than the ship for an hour and get stuck in a crazy traffic jam.
  18. Oh boy, after reading about everyone going, I'm having a major FOMO moment! The timing is really bad for me but I'm looking at other options!
  19. Cozumel is not a tender port. The only port on your list that tenders is Grand Cayman. Sorry I can't answer your other questions.
  20. You will be assigned to one of the dining rooms and eat there the entire cruise. It will be on your sea pass card. I always make a reservation for my family of 6. You can show up but I find it easier to plan a dinner time around 6:30 for my family. It is easy to change if our plans change. You can make a reservation before the cruise on your Cruise Planner
  21. @RobinL I've only booked the beach bungalows at Columbus Cove. We love the location and the soft sandy beach. It is close to the buffet. In addition, the attendants keep the bungalow area private. I have kids so I look for a nice sandy beach Columbus cove is slightly further than Nellie's beach. You can see some of Nellie's beach cabanas from Columbus Cove. Which is better is subjective. Some love the Nellie's beach cabanas but to me they aren't worth double the price of a bungalow. Now if money is no object and I didn't have my kids, then I'd try for an over water cabana.
  22. You would need to call to cancel and rebook it at the lower price. If you are on an Oasis class ship $499 is the cheapest I've seen.
  23. You can book Playa Mia directly for cheaper than that. You need to grab a taxi but they are plentiful both ways. The biggest advantage is that you can spent quite a bit more time here than what the ship offers and it is pretty quiet then. Food is ok but not great. The waterpark is only those 2 slides and it isn't that great. Admission includes the ocean inflatables which are a lot of fun. If you have young kids, there is a really large splash area.
  24. I've booked the Thrill Waterpark cabana before and admission was for 6 people. You need to notify the shore excursion desk which 6 people so they will add admission to the sea pass card. Thanks @DublinFC for the heads up on the price drop. I checked yesterday for our Harmony SB cruise and it was still showing $799. So happy to get it for $499 especially since 1 waterpark ticket is $93.99.
