  1. Absolutely crazy...Earlier this morning I was thinking about using a travel agent for our next cruise since it will be our first group cruise and I'd rather have someone else do the heavy lifting for a change. I remembered MEI was recommended over here but didn't really want to take my chances without getting a recommendation for a specific agent. So somebody already asked the question and it was fairly unanimously answered. I think I'll be giving Michelle a call in the near future. So thanks everyone, my work here is done!
  2. I don't really mind this change. I never used room service much and if I did it was to order breakfast or a late night snack. There are better options for breakfast, especially because room service had a good chance of arriving cold. As far as the late night snack, just need to make sure you order enough to make it worthwhile. At least the menu seems to be improved. I think the bigger issue is that it's yet another thing that isn't included in your cruise fare. Each one is like a little thorn in the side to the typical customer. I think one of biggest advantages of cruising is its reputation for being very good bang for your buck. However, each "additional cost" item detracts from that perception.
  3. I'm pretty sure it's based on your final destination. You have an international flight with a connection. In that case you would not be able to use the luggage valet service. I guess the only exception would be if your two flights were booked as separate trips with separate record locators. Then you could probably use Atlanta as your final destination, pick up your bags, and then re-check them to Amsterdam.
  4. Just got back yesterday from the Oasis and it was 57.82 per day. I ordered every frozen drink I could think of and several I was introduced to several new ones. At about $12 per drink it doesn't take long to get your money's worth out of the drink package.
  5. I just got back from a cruise on the Oasis yesterday. We had requested a Central Park balcony, but somehow ended up with a Boardwalk view balcony. We were initially pretty disappointed but once we got a good look around, we much preferred the Boardwalk view. Central Park is nice but it seemed to be a pretty limited view. The Boardwalk balconies provide a view of the Boardwalk as well as an Ocean view from the rear of the ship. That was great because you get a nice view of the water on sailing days and then a nice change of background when in ports of call. You also have the zip line and the Aqua Theater.
