FLGooner got a reaction from bcarney in Looking for Info on Brilliance of the Seas out of Tampa
We live in the Tampa area and have sailed Brilliance on a few occasions. My wife's office directly overlooks the port so she enjoys seeing one of her favorite ships on a regular occasion. Great ship and certainly still looks good.
You're correct on timing from Airport to Port, 30-40 minutes at worse - probably 20 minutes outside of rush hour. I find Tampa to be a lot easier and less chaotic for getting on/off than Port Canaveral or Lauderdale.
Let me know if you need more info.

Traveled with the in-laws who are just as bad as teenagers!!!
Agree with the above, use the phones in the rooms and have pre-agreed meeting places - Solarium bar at 10am :)

FLGooner reacted to DocLC in Old Havana Heritage Walking Tour
Here's a review: http://eatsleepcruise.com/2017/06/old-havana-walking-tour/
I've also heard him talk about the tour on a few podcasts, either The Cruise Dudes or Cruise Radio.

FLGooner got a reaction from murphmatic in Key West Scooters
Never rented a scooter but we've taken our Harleys down there on a few occasions. Roads are horrible on a big bike so dread to think what they are like on a scooter, lots of potholes, traffic is a nightmare and the whole Duval St area is full of drunk tourists stepping out in front of you :)
Other than that, it's great fun!!!

FLGooner reacted to BrianAlt in The Almost Complete Food Lovers Guide to the Oasis of the Seas
Thought I'd post this here. On the last podcast Matt talked about my love of specialty dining. This is from the original thread from 2010 I posted on Cruise Critic titled, The Almost Complete Food Lovers Guide to the Oasis of the Seas. I put it into one document. It's a bit dated by now, but I think it's still useful for anyone wondering about specialty dining on Oasis class or pretty much any Royal Caribbean ship.
If anyone has questions about dining, I'd be very glad to help.

We love the Chefs Table, even if my wife finds that a different wine with every course leads to her swaying all the way back to our suite!!!
Would recommend 150 CP, always good.

FLGooner got a reaction from CrimsonCruiser in Ethnic breakfast items in Windjammer?
Baked Beans is a must for a British breakfast. I believe it's mandatory under an Act of Parliament passed in 1622, but I could be making that bit up :)

FLGooner got a reaction from dejagatkins in No shorts in MDR again?
Wore a nice suit and dress shirt with NO tie for formal last month on Brilliance. Perfectly acceptable as others were dressed in polo shirts and slacks and I told the wife I was glad I did not bring the Tuxedo as I would have stuck out as the only one in MDR.
I have to dress up for work so don't feel the need when I'm on vacation.

Newbie here, so apologies if this has been asked before.
Really enjoyed reading the pros and cons of purchasing the drinks package. I heard a rumor that you could bring two bottle of wine onboard for consumption in your cabin. Can anyone confirm??
