  1. ...still diggin' out... Roads are likely going to freeze tonight so I might not be able to go to work again tomorrow. Sounds nice, but I have stuff to do before we head on down to Canaveral.
  2. Can't wait to see how your Coz day goes, as those are pretty much exactly my plans for later this month. Have a great time! Just followed you Periscope.
  3. Pretty much all my life, I was fed the whole "NJ and NY suck" thanks to Baretta and Kojak, etc. Nothin but bums, winos, hookers, and litter-filled streets. Man, was I dumb. Get away from the city and NJ is beautiful. I saw more different types of animals in NJ during my couple of days there than I've ever seen here. And NYC blew my mind. We stayed in Weehauken, and took the ferry over to the city and it was wonderful! Very good people up there, too. More like "Friends" than "Jersey Shore".
  4. Definitely not Charleston...all we can get is crappy Carnival. Although the 6 hour drive to Port Canaveral isn't awful.
  5. I gotta go with Waaaytooooo as well. Look, it ain't artisanal, I get it. But when the time comes, and we all know what time I'm talking about, Sorrento's is as good an option as there is on the boat! If I'm looking a little cock-eyed and listing a bit when I walk, I don't want lobster or prime rib - just gimme some za, even Sorrento's.
  6. Reminds me of the time we walked on the nude side of Orient Beach (no, the Greeter wasn't there, unfortunately)...kept expecting to see the lovely sights, but it was anything butt that.
  7. Man, oh man, Twangster... What a wonderful blog. I've never been to San Juan, and now I want to go. I have been to Ste Maarten, and now I want to go back. Thank you for all of this hard work, and for simply being a good person; the kind of person we should all strive to be. Bravo
  8. I really like rum and tequila, but don't really know much about it, such was what's good and what's not. We will be hitting Falmouth and Cozumel in a month. I see that you mention Casa Noble - any other suggestions? I don't plan on heading into Falmouth; probably stay in the scaredy pants area.
  9. I just love these blogs!!! 4 weeks from tomorrow, Lady O; be patient, my seaborne mistress.
  10. When we took our first cruise, on Freedom, I was confronted with just how massive the responsibility is for the Captain and his crew to keep his passengers safe, regardless of situation. So, from then on, I've added ship captains, pilots, train and bus drivers to my prayers. Really, anyone how is responsible for the well-being of another life.
  11. Wow, a Twangster/Traveller/Twangster triple feature!! Hot damn, less go!
  12. Simply tragic. You always have a worry in the back of your mind that something could happen, but these guys do this all the time, right? The heart of the issue is that accidents happen, and that could be on an excursion or in your home town. I feel awful for the families and loved ones of those who died, and pray that they survivors will recover fully, both physically and psychologically, as survivor guilt can be a terrible thing.
  13. I'm not sure how I missed this thread, Traveler, but it's excellent, and I'm really enjoying it. A lot better than the lame live blogs we've been forced to read lately....
  14. Okay, I just purchased S&S for our 1/21 sailing. Y'all better keep this thread alive so I can re-read it. I'm kindasorta smart on this stuff, but totally stupid on others. So now I'll be able to Periscope, right?
  15. Sadly, I'm not made of money like some of y'all. Why do you think I'm still C&A Rust class?
  16. Okay, so here's the $64,000 question.... You've taken pictures of hundreds of people; where is the picture of you?? How are we going to be able to differentiate you from Super Mario when we are sailing?? Bring it, baby.
  17. I sure wish I was in Nuremberg this time of year. Some gulasche suppe and some gluhwein - YUM! Yes, Kayla, I'd also be interested in your blog!!! Can't get too many of 'em!
  18. All right, all right - I'm getting off your lawn! Geez
  19. Next month will be my third cruise, all with Royal. I have no desire to go on any other line. To paraphrase Barry White - Royal's my first; my last; my everything!
  20. Still loving this blog; thank you so much for your invaluable efforts!! One observation WRT your pictures - that is going to be a beautiful church when they're done with it.
  21. Your liver can rest after it's dead....
