No, check in can be done before final payment currently.  This will change when RC goes back to the 90 days out final payment date.

Agreed.  The newer the newlywed the better your chances.  Often there is a couple married within the last week or two who end up there.  The next one is the couple married the longest.  I think ours was around 50 years or so most of the time.  After that you have to beat on your chest to be the best "Tarzan" as the guy and the best "Jane" calling for her Tarzan.  So having a wife who shouts out nice and breathy, "Tarzan, Tarzan.... Where is my Tarzan?"  And having your guy do something funny or shocking is the best way to get onto the stage.  Last one we watched the husband picked his wife up and started running around with her on his shoulder.  The "middle" group is the hardest one to get in on since they usually ask for between 10 and 40 years so prep accordingly.

I appreciate the suggestion, but the nature of this site is people posting the same questions over and over.  It's just the way it is, because I think people want to ensure in their exact scenario, they're doing the right thing.
So reading the same question many times doesn't faze me. We're all here to learn and have a better cruise experience.
Certainly you can use the site and message board search feature to find answers to questions you may have. It's a good starting point.
If you can't find an answer that fits your scenario, post a thread asking about it! That's what this site is here for.

They did not offer it on Odyssey last week.
We were contestants on Jewel back in 2004.  I briefly explain our experience when I was interviewed by Matt in 2020 for the RCB Podcast.

My husband and I will be on the Oasis of the Seas, on May 22, 2022.  This is also our 30th Wedding Anniversary.  I think it would be fun to be on that Game show.   How do you sign up?

My recent experience...  On July 29 we were schedule to fly from Buffalo, NY at 8:00AM to Fort Lauderdale landing at 11:00AM, boarding Oasis of the Seas on July 30.  When we arrived at the airport at 6:00 AM we were told our flight was cancelled and they could reschedule us to arrive in Fort Lauderdale the following evening.  Getting us there after the ship would have left port.   That was the only alternative Southwest gave us.  We walked over to Jet Blue and they got us to FL at midnight the same night.  20 hours in an airport and planes was not fun.  We had to pay ridiculous money to get us there but had we been flying the same day as we were to board ship we would have missed it.

Change reservation and fly the day before.

Per the below page, you can call (888) 724-7447 to reach the ship from land.

Further, if you're purchasing Voom, and will be cruising in an area with Voom coverage (Caribbean, Med, etc), you can be reached via Skype, WhatsApp, or other VoIP apps.  If you have a major US carrier, and a newer iPhone or Android device, you may have WiFi calling, which, if connected to Voom, will allow you to make and receive calls and texts.

Even when they remind you of the dress code they are very nice about it.  One morning we were headed to the beach for an excursion and decided to go to the MDR for b'fast first.  Dan had on a tank top and they said he would have to change to go into the MDR - even for b'fast on a port day.  The shorts didn't cause a problem.  It was the sleeveless shirt that did it.  They allowed me to sit down and they showed him to the table where I was, when he got back.

So they DO often enforce the dress code.  They aren't nearly as strict about it as they used to be in the "old days" but they still have SOME standards.

You will be turned away in a tank top EVERY time (so we learned the hard way)...and you will probably be turned away in shorts on formal night (also learned the hard way).

No need to dress UP just don't wear the red flag items when they're looking for them !

As someone relatively new to cruising, this has been an interesting thread.  My take home story is that the MDR dress code appears to be clearly stated online and in other RCCL literature but the policy seems to be unevenly enforced, at least with regards to wearing shorts.  But at the other end of the spectrum it seems that on any RCCL ship, formal nights do not require true formal wear and anything from business casual and up is acceptable.  Is that a fair assessment?

Well....I don't think they are PROHIBITED - yet...but I have heard of several people having them (ones with surge protection) confiscated.  I think it's a very inconsistent policy at the moment.

Once you print your Setsail Pass, there is nothing else to do.  The site can't really determine if you actually printed your documents and it allows for you to return later and print them out again (I once left my documents at home and had to re-print).

While I can't answer your questions directly I can compare to my sailing 68 days out.
I completed check-in and printed my Set Sail Pass and on one page it says "Status: Ready to Print" while on the page with the steps it's still on Step 4 giving me the option to print.  This part is normal, as once you've printed, they a) don't know you've successfully printed and b) want you to be able to print again.

As far as the vacation docs mine are set for electronic delivery, but to be honest, I don't even remember what they send.  If you have your Set Sail Pass, and all of your check-in boxes are checked off, I wouldn't be concerned.  Someone with more RCCL experience than I will likely chime in here, but as always, you can consult your travel agent for further information.

Thank you all for the replies.  My travel agent has given me information for the flights but nothing for the cruise.  So instead of asking her I decided to ask the experts..    ALL OF YOU!!

Hopefully by the time we go (July 30) he won't need it anymore.  We will know more about that the first of June when he see the Dr. again.

    Thanks again!!

I've definitely seen oxygen provided for guests.  As Billy suggests, coordinate with Royal Caribbean special needs.

Tried them our first couple of cruises, surprisingly we generally were able to get "signals", however, we quickly learned that a lot of other people had the same idea and the channels can get crowded.

I spent about an hour one morning listening to some crazy lady bitching out her husband for not answering her (in between lots of other side conversations) ... turned out the crazy lady was my wife ..... walkie talkies no longer travel with us.

Have your travel agent make the arrangements with Royal.  As long as he's cleared to travel everything will be fine, but you will need to coordinate so they can be sure to have extension cords for oxygen generators, storage for extra tanks, etc.  If you booked directly you can contact [email protected].  More information: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/allaboutcruising/accessibleseas/otherNeeds.do

We just got off the Oasis of the Seas and I still dream about her. :-D I imagine I'll walk over to the Windjammer for breakfast and then I realize I'm at home and can't do that! Oasis is a grand lady we look forward to seeing again in April 2017. Can't wait!
