  1. Guests are starting to report a couple new changes to the Casino Royale benefits earned by Prime, Signature and Masters level players. This is may be preparatory to the rumored merger of Blus Chip and Club Royale, or it may be Club Royal copying other cruise lines. The first change that has been reported is that the drinks normally offered by the casino to Prime level and above will only be complimentary when the tables are in action. It has been reported that the casino managers are informing guests that the slot machines are not considered casino. This will drop the hours available to the casino bar by about 20-30%. The second change is signs are now showing that the Prime drinks are only available to guests who are actually gambling. Prime member will no longer be able to enjoy a drink at the bar without paying for it. As these get rolled out, if they concern you, or if you have any comments, please contact [email protected]
  2. Apparent new rules pertaining to use of D, D+ and Pin drink amenity. I am on Vision and it is disembarkation day. According to the F&B Manager, you are no longer eligible to use your drink benefit on disembarkation day for anything. No coffee, no mimosas, no fresh OJ, etc.. You now must pay for a benefit that we have enjoyed since making the tier level that provides this benefit I am wondering if this is simply the F&B manager misinterpreting the rules, or making up their own.? Has anyone else encountered this?
  3. Here is a speed test from Vision right now, running 2 laptops, 2 cellphones and a 4K firestick. Around 200x faster than we saw on Grandeur a little over a week ago.
  4. It would seem logical at first to consider the number of vessels with StarLink installed, however, the disparity is seen between 2 vessels tied up at the same pier - one throttled and one not throttled. If it was the sheer traffic to Starlink, logic would dictate that both vessels would have similar issues, but they do not. Th throttling is intentional as the impact was felt virtually overnight, rather than gradual.
  5. From super fast speed to almost no speed, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity is slowly but surely throttling down the internet speeds they provide to guests. At frst, we were seeing speeds exceeding 200M download and many people, myself included, realized that we could work on the ship productively. That is seemingly coming to an end. ON Wonder, the speed have been cut down to around 1M from the initial rollout of 200M. Other ships , such as Grandeur, Mariner, and Indy have been reporting the same scenario. Right now, here on Vision, we still have 200M, although overnight the speed may have been cut as we are now seeing a 25M cap. These issues, intentionally implemented, are starting to impact the most loyal guests who work from the ships on a daily basis.
