Just booked Symphony for April 2025.

Love that you posted this, have been pondering this for awhile and reached out to a local TA today for our 2025 cruise. Was advised to book it on Next Cruise during our Feb 2024 cruise and have it transfered to the TA. That gets us 2 OBC and a significant discount. The 2025 cruise will be our 5th, why didn't we do this sooner! Better late than never I suppose. -
We liked Freedom better than Liberty, our favorite ship probably until we sail Symphony in Feb.

We will be on Symphony in Feb and are looking to do the next cruise deposit on our 2025 cruise. Question for anyone that books through RC in Canadian dollars, would the deposit still be in Canadian dollars or is that only for USD bookings? Thanks! We saw the option through the app last cruise but we didn't book anything. Not sure if the option for Can dollars is on the app while on the ship as well?

Bigger ships less movement?
Ontariocruisers99 replied to Ontariocruisers99's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The side to side is definitely what we noticed the most so that's good to know. The first night at dinner out of Long Beach we were running into the walls walking throughout the hallway. That was our first introduction to cruising! -
Bigger ships less movement?
Ontariocruisers99 replied to Ontariocruisers99's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Well that's not what I want to hear! It does seem like the Caribean is generally calmer than the Pacific but maybe we just went at a bad time. We also sailed from NJ to Halifax in June and that was a super calm trip as well. -
We've sailed on 2 smaller Carnival ships, one from Long Beach to Cabo and the movement on that ship was terrible. We sailed Freedom and twice on Liberty in the last two years, very smooth all 3 cruises. We will be on our biggest yet in Feb, Symphony. Have we just been lucky with good weather and smooth waters or do you really feel less movement on the bigger ships? I do wonder what the bigger ships are like on rougher waters but I'm also ok with not finding out Since Carnival we have only booked bigger ships, Carnival was 2100 capacity.

Port Liberty Parking Bayonne NJ

In June we were summoned to the far lot and it was pouring rain on return. No problem taking our $30 a day though! -
I still can't believe after going through covid the amount of guys that finish going to the bathroom then do the "pretend wash their hands". What is the point of putting a few fingers under the tap, no soap then grabbing a paper towel like you washed your hands? Grown men too, it's unbelievable. Saw it several times on Freedom and Liberty, just disgusting.

I thought this was going to be about the Bliss Cruise! Not that there's anything wrong with that....depending on who you are I guess!

We did Nassau then Coco Cay 1.5 years ago on Freedom. Last month on Liberty we did Coco Cay then Nassau. We prefer Coco Cay as the last Port day but hey, we are in the Caribbean so life is good either way!

I wonder how long until they stop offering complimentary iced tea and lemonade? Seems like a lot of cut backs on cruise ships and more and more "extra charges"

Sophie on the Piano was so good on Liberty in Feb. We are back on Liberty in June out of NJ but sadly her contract is up. -
Hotels in Fort Lauderdale with Port Transfers?
Ontariocruisers99 replied to Nickel30's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We asked about a shuttle to the Cruise Port last month when we were at the Four Points in Ft Lauderdale. They said it was $15 each. We took an Uber for half of that and it was great. We checked multiple times in the morning and there was always an Uber a few minutes away. -
I was surprised how good the burgers were in the WJ, ended up having one every day!

Thanks, appreciate the info! I think Jersey City sounds like a good option. -

Just out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the Newark Airport area? This will be our first time in the area, we will be arriving a day early. -
