  1. I'm following along as I have this cruise booked as well.
  2. The Asian market isn't known to consist of big drinkers...to think of all those Sabor margaritas that will not be poured. :(
  3. You and Nicci are going to have a great time. I'm pumped for you.
  4. Put me on the Anthem any time of the year. I absolutely love the ship and I am elated that we get her year-round. Any cruise is a dice roll...heck we had a hurricane form in January this year. Well debated, Hoch!
  5. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the elimination of Dynamic Dining on the Anthem of the Seas effective with the November 27, 2016 sailing. The deck four restaurants, American Icon and Silk, will become MTD, with a single check-in station in the hallway, and guests will be sorted to one or the other depending on availability. The deck three restaurants, Grande and Chic, will become standard first or second seating with assigned tables. The venues will remain the same physically, but the menus at all four will be the same. Apparently, the changes will start showing up in Cruise Planner in the next few weeks for sailings on or after November 27, 2016.
  6. I was able to use OBC to purchase my drink package through the cruise planner prior to boarding the Anthem in June. So not necessarily specific to Oasis and if my previous sailing is any indication this has been around for awhile now.
  7. You posted this already...and 73 people read it. Are you looking for more viewers?
  8. You should be more than fine, southbound Miami rush hour traffic usually dies down around 9:30 AM.
  9. I do the same at Bayonne and have never had anything but good experiences with the porters. Drive around in the circle, drop off the luggage and proceed to the garage. Sorry others have had negative experiences.
  10. Correct, you will receive a cancellation notification from Royal Caribbean with respect to any of your Cruise Planner reservations and should see a corresponding credit card refund within a couple of days. You will have to go back into the Cruise Planner for your new cruise for any reservations you wish to remake. Sometimes the C&A desk will do this for you, but depends on how nice the planner is you speak with. :)
  11. Hello All, I wanted to see if we could commence a running Cruise Director and Activities Manager list here on the Royal Caribbean Blog Boards. As many of you know, the Cruise Director can be very influential in providing a fun and interactive experience while on a cruise and for this reason the question is often asked "who will be the cruise director on my sailing?" However, as with any position of importance, the Cruise Director also enlists the assistance of his or her Activities Manager to host a number of events throughout a sailing (e.g. trivia, bingo, karaoke, etc...). Therefore, I would also like to keep the list updated with the current Activities Managers whom many of us develop strong relationships with based on our varying degrees of participation in ship events. While I know there are similar lists maintained elsewhere on the internet, my desire is to provide an easily accessed (thanks in part to the long-term edit function of these boards) and more user friendly document than what currently exists. In addition to receiving regular updates from the fantastic blog community that fill these boards with Royal Caribbean knowledge everyday, I also hope to leverage Kat's evergrowing Periscope community to obtain real time and accurate updates as to who holds these very important positions throughout the Royal Caribbean fleet. Below is my first stab at a draft of the list based on information I was able to retrieve from various social media and online content. As you can see, there are some blanks, which I am sure many of you will be able to assist with filling in. Please feel free to respond here with any list updates or any comments as to the format or layout of the document. I would like to thank all of you in advance for any assistance you can provide with making this list a useful resource for Royal Caribbean cruisers.
  12. I assume flight prices are consistent between the two departure ports. If not, that would also weigh into my decision.
  13. Julie, As I indicated above, Boardwalk View balcony staterooms 14317-14325 on the port side and 14717-14725 on the starboard side are designated as obstructed views for the aft ocean view "obstruction." You will still have great views of the Boardwalk and Aqua Theater. In addition, Central Park view balcony staterooms 14217 and 14617 are also designated as obstructed views due to their proximity to the pool bridge on Deck 15. There does not appear to be any ocean view balcony staterooms that are considered to have obstructed views.
  14. Julie, Would you happen to know if the balcony is a "neighborhood" balcony? I know Royal designates some of the Boardwalk Deck 14 balcony cabins as obstructed as you are unable to view the ocean aft due to the bridge on Deck 15 (Wipe Out Bar area).
  15. You can always upgrade when a price drop occurs after final payment date. As long as Royal remains whole in the transaction you will not get any push back. This is also the case if say you have four people in an balcony and due to price reductions after final payment its the same price to get two ocean view cabins. Again, as long as the price for the change is the same or more as your current fare.
  16. Same holds true for Quantum class, well at least Anthem.
  17. Would anyone happen to have a picture of the Solarium juice bar menu on Anthem of the Seas? My cousin is a big health nut and is harassing me on the daily for a list of the options. I remember seeing the juice bar, but don't have any recollection of the offerings. Is it similar to the offerings in the Vitality Spa on the Oasis Class, because that I have a list of? Thanks in advance, Rick
  18. Also, the lack of sea days on the Empress really minimizes this concern. If the poster is anything like me, nighttime motion can be blamed on many different elements. ;)
  19. Me and my buddy just decided to split into two different rooms for Oasis next month and now he has a different reservation number. I already had put in a request when he was under the same reservation number. As you cannot modify previous submissions, I entered a new request. Let's see what happens here! Hoping one gets rejected/one approved and not both rejected for some type of redundancy error.
