  1. I would bet Matt is working on getting the information about terminal requirements with confirmation from all the parties. There are probably several sources he has to check. I tried googling it for cruise terminals and nothing came up yet.
  2. Interesting that it is not listed on the most recent Cruise Compass either. I wonder if it is an oversight.
  3. Interesting...my upcoming sailing has VOOM paired with the Classic Soda package...I could have sworn I saw it with the DBP before the current sale:
  4. Makes sense...Anthem is Orange on the CDC tracking meaning they are under investigation until case load goes below 1% of the crew or 0.3% of total passengers. https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/cruise/cruise-ship-color-status.html
  5. I hope that this leads to allowing crew who want to do so to remove their masks on board.
  6. Does anyone know if there is wet suit and dive computer rental on Indy or on Coco Cay? I don't want to carry that stuff and Royal has not responded to an inquiry about it.
  7. the entire solarium on Symphony is under glass. the only outdoor spaces forward that are accessible from there are the bridge wings.
  8. Moving to Emerald from Platinum (would be diamond now if not for you know what) in two weeks, and my plan is to put the pins I get on my rattiest RC hat, wear it on the beach, get sea water on it and let them get nasty. I've had MDR lunches with several Pinnacles on cruises and find the ones I've met to be really nice and great sources of knowledge, especially ones who you have to drag their status out of them.
  9. I love Radiance Class from my limited experience, and Empress also remains my favorite ship because of the reasons stated above. The Schooner Bar and Boleros on that ship is unmatched on any, and I loved the outdoor deck behind Boleros. The crew was great, and the fact that I could get from one end of the ship to the other in a minute or two if walking slowly was a huge plus. I really wanted to Sail on Empress again, but that won't happen.
  10. The Day 1 cruise planner from a January sailing shows that it is open at noon on embarkation day along with Cafe Promenade. I would bet that it is open. It is next to the Windjammer, so it will be easy to determine your preference if it is based on the crowd. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/navigator-of-the-seas/mon-01242022-0000
  11. It wort of worked out that way since I booked Izumi Hibachi first and UDP second. I later found that on Indy, Izumi Hibachi is included in the UDP, but I am not cancelling because I don't want to give up the spot. I will try to get it credited to OBC on board, and if they don't do that, I will chalk it up to learning expense.
  12. I'm going to be so full that evening...Izumi Hibachi reservations at 5:15 and Izumi sushi for dinner #2 at 9:00.
  13. The Cruise Compass for Indy shows Playmakers as open on embarkation day. Does anyone know if they allow the UDP $20 credit for lunch while in port that day?
  14. It's this and the slow walkers who are oblivious that they are taking up a thoroughfare of any kind anywhere else...turning in front of people without looking behind them... There was a time when I was called to the naughty room on embarkation about something I packed that I didn't realize was verbotten (totally my fault), and I witnessed another passenger SCREAMING at security about a hair dryer. they were there when I got there and were still screaming when I left. The security guy just let them make fools of themselves and took the hair dryer. It was the most uncalled for thing I've seen on a ship, and I can't stand any rudeness directed toward crew.
  15. This might be a simplistic solution, but it seems like in this case, the DR could allow NCL to put the passengers without passports on to another ship that is not sailing right now. Who knows if that's a cheaper solution than the flight charters and headaches of dealing with the situation. If they still have idle ships, maybe its a preparedness issue. It seems like food could be transferred from the Escape.
  16. seems like a ship the size of Escape grounding even a part of its hull on a sand bar would cause it to warp easily....I bet that ship has some irreparable damage, but what do I know...
  17. I'm sure everyone knows about the NCL Escape running aground. I wonder if the initial inspections showed structural damage to the ship, because they are disembarking all passengers 3/16-18 and flying them to Orlando according to this letter. Would RCL do a similar measure, esp the 100% FCC? Has anything like this happened in recent years?
  18. This cruise compass from a recent sailing will give you an idea...look for items listed with Fitness Center under the Wellness heading for each day. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/oasis-of-the-seas/sun-02062022-0000
  19. I work with Brock at MEI Travel...he does a great job
  20. I buy coffee frequently, but be prepared to have your bags/carryons searched in customs/security at airports because drug smugglers use it to mask the smell.
  21. that functionality appears to exist after our IT reconfigured it for push universally in our organization, but in testing it, there is an invalid credential notice. I feel like I will have to do some experimentation with it on board.
  22. My employer requires the use of an app called DUO installed on a smartphone or tablet for independent authentication of credentials. I can't think of a way to do push or independent login code generation without having two VOOM accounts.
  23. Has anyone run into the issue with 2 device/2 part authentication to access applications that would not otherwise be accessible with one VOOM account on board. I will have to deal with this on my next cruise and am not sure if it is achievable without purchasing two plans.
  24. Ha! I've had covid a couple of times along with my household, despite doing all the things, so at this point, I don't care anymore...I'm just really lazy, and going a mile to Walgreen's sounds like torture to me.....
