I went to get a coffee this am at Starbucks on 17th street in Fort Lauderdale & it was a ghost town. Normally this area is jam packed with crew members & I didn’t see a single person. The port is filled with ships & it seems the crew will be staying on them for the next 30 days (minimum).

It seems safe during daylight hours. We will normally walk to the British Colonial Hilton and back without any issues. With that being said, I still don’t trust it & I am constantly on guard and very aware of my surroundings. I’ve seen stuff go down in Nassau. My $ is on a vehicular manslaughter incident before a person to person altercation based on the way they drive.

For sure. No way this mess just goes up in smoke magically in 2 weeks. I would imagine 1-3 months minimum.

Where are they going to port all these ships for a month (minimum)? Port Everglades is going to be a busy place!

Are ships being turned away from ports?
tonyfsu21 replied to good_day's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You should decide what’s best for you. Personally, I am not concerned with being turned away at the various ports but rather the craps shoot of just 1 person out of 8500 on an Oasis class ship potentially testing + and forcing a quarantine delaying return for days and days. Also, your going on Symphony which is a destination on its own so the ports should be just icing on the cake. -
Operative word “almost”. If you want the fastest (certainly not cheapest) way to park them there is no better option then the T18 lot.

Negative. See pics in thread.

Kiss the ground you walk on in Labadee because Cap Haitian is a trash dump. I highly recommend touring this lovely city in a bulletproof & hermetically sealed vehicle w/ an automatic gun mounted on the roof.

10:30am is the sweet spot.

Hanging out on the boardwalk on boarding day waiting for the DogHouse to open w/ an ice cold beer in hand. Early Am on the balcony drinking my Starbucks coffee and thinking about the day to come.

What kind of corona virus screening delays have been observed over the last week or two? Family members are heading out of POM tomorrow on Navigator but wondering if the check in process has been heavily delayed or is it business as usual?
-
Yes. I believe this is based on many factors including ship, cruise length & time of year. I just won a 1BR GS on an Oasis class 7 day sailing and the starting bid was $750 x 2. Obviously your chances are not great at minimum bid so your gonna have to kick it up a bit closer to $1000 x 2 to win.

I just won a bid for a grand suite on Oasis today. I bumped the suggested offer up about $250/pp and received the congrats email a few hours ago. I was more conservative on the loft & aqua theatre (like $150.00/pp more) and was passed up on all of them. All in for a family of four it’s a worthy upgrade from a JS to GS.

Best Stores To Purchase a Rolex Watch?
tonyfsu21 replied to Stephen Carter's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Stephen- If you want to purchase a Rolex & are looking for any of the highly desirable sports models I would suggest the following: 1. Start a relationship w/ an Authorized Dealer and purchase multiple watches and get on a waiting list. Normally if you purchase a gold or multiple gold Rolex watches the more desirable SS sports models will be offered to you. 2. Purchase from a trusted Grey Market seller but pay a premium and get the watch via next day air. I have done both but prefer to purchase from either: David SW AKA Takuya Google both and do your research. I am an avid Rolex wristwatch collector and can help you with any questions. -
