Thanks CruisingOz. From my reading, that is the more developed area for picking up tours and going ashore for self-led exploration around town. We have tentatively booked a Saturday glass bottomed snorkeling boat tour w lunch included, and a Sunday vehicle tour to the fruit juice plant, flower garden, farmers market, etc. Papeete on Monday looks to be a walk about in the town that's adjacent to the dock.

We're all checked in too & prepped w all the visas, monitored test kits, etc to print out our set of boarding passes for Ovation b2b from Vancouver BC to Sydney - further along than the same cancelled back in 2020. So hope it's not cancelled again! Did see Bora-Bora banned all large ships resulting in 2 nights in Moorea Oct 15 & 16 but which Bay she'll be anchoring isn't appearing on the Moorea port schedule. Reserved a couple Viator activities but not sure yet where they are to pick us up as we don't see if Ovation is anchoring in Cook's Bay or Opunohu Bay with different tender dropoff/pickup locations. Any insights?

On our RCI Ovation app itinerary, it currently lists Moorea on 2 days; 7 & 8. Not sure from which Bay it will be tendering ashore.
