  1. I am very open to people wearing the clothes they feel most comfortable wearing, as long as it meets society's minimum standards of decency. On my last sailing with Vision of the Seas, I witnessed multiple people at breakfast in only their bathrobes from the room which I believe you should do your best to avoid. I would also strongly advise not walking around barefoot in public areas.
  2. This has been a longstanding issue on this ship previously covered here on our forum back in July.
  3. I see, so if memory serves me right this is probably located in the Windjammer buffet because the only other place to eat a meal on Vision of the Seas on that deck is Park Place in the Solarium and it's not so much a meal as snacks most of the day and that's usually when the Windjammer is closed. Most unfortunate if this source is correct.
  4. Can I please have the source so I can read the posts there to learn more about this incident?
  5. I disembarked on the cruise just before this sailing. https://www.businessinsider.com/royal-caribbean-man-falls-overboard-passenger-panic-2023-12 Condolences for everyone involved.
  6. On Vision of the Seas I was informed by a waiter that very few people liked the Mexican night dinner. When we asked how could a meal on such a wonderful ship actually be undesirable, he told us he would show us the entire menu the following night. What I did not understand at the time was that he would actually bring out every single dish on the menu, except the desserts because those were great. And he was right, they were all subpar. I learned a valuable lesson, always trust the waiter.
  7. It was an amazing cruise, we had a little rain in Port Canaveral where we visited Disney World. Then we skipped Miami because the port was closed and I didn't want to visit that place anyways so we sailed off to Nassau early. Beautiful weather there, and also the following day at Freeport. I had a great time!
  8. I will pray for our souls as we head out from Baltimore tomorrow into a giant Nor'easter in Florida.
  9. Yes it's apparently big in the news today. http://www.tribune242.com/news/2023/dec/12/cruise-line-plan-gb-revealed-xanadu-hotel-acquisit/
  10. It should, worked fine for me in Firefox. https://www.royalcaribbeanbeddingcollection.com/ They even have a holiday sale.
  11. https://www.royalcaribbeanbeddingcollection.com/category/mattress/ Try this website with a collection of mattresses.
  12. Vision of the Seas December 2023 My first time organizing a cruise for several rooms.
  13. I don't blame the cat, if I were one you can be sure I would sneak into every suitcase in the hopes of a Royal Caribbean cruise.
  14. I recommend downloading the smartphone application for Royal Caribbean. The planner section of the application will show around 5:00 pm a designation for the dress code of that day. Also information is listed on the official website. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/faq/questions/formal-dress-code-guideline
  15. This is just one reason why cruise lines need to come down hard on people that intentionally violate cruise rules, allergies run the gamut from minor to life threatening. I have a niece with a severe allergies to cats. Which is a shame, since I own four cats so she can never visit. I remember back in the days when if someone broke the rules of the sea we forced them into a rowboat and sent them off to a nearby deserted island. When someone was hoarding all the rum we made them walk the plank.
  16. I always sail out of Baltimore so we can avoid airfare. The cruise terminal there is small. I always end up with the earliest possible check in time and there are a mixture of suites and general boarding in that first group. Suite classes have boarded only a very short amount of time before the other groups in that first boarding group time of the day. There are two seating sections once your boarding papers and SeaPass have been issued at the front desk. You sit in a row of chairs and wait to be ushered in for your group photo and then a long series of winding back and forth walkways to the boarding level of the ship. I suspect that major modern cruise terminals such as those originating out of Florida or foreign lands such as Antarctica have to follow different procedures.
  17. I saw the footage on the YouTube channel La Lida Loca. This is most unfortunate for the passengers impacted, their families, the cruise industry, the government of the Bahamas, and other impacted parties. The loss of any life even if just one person is too many. I suspect there will be an official government investigation to determine the cause of this unfortunate sinking. My thoughts and prayers go out to the community.
  18. I have always wanted to go on a cruise to Alaska or up north, somewhere away from the Caribbean or Bermuda. I used to go whale watching on Cape Cod every year on my grandfather's sailboat. My travel agent has recently been promoting Royal Caribbean trips. He seemed overly enthusiastic about all the wonderful wildlife up north.
  19. There have been several lawsuits for million of dollars over injuries sustained on the Sky Pad including back injuries. From a liability view alone, the cruise ship company made the right decision here to end this beloved ride.
  20. This is the land that Royal Caribbean is going to develop with an agreement with the government of the Bahamas for tourists. It has angered nearby Atlantis resort but such is how partnerships and competition in the marketplace works. What do you think of the idea of making Nassau a more desirable port with this new resort?
  21. I booked three junior suites on my reservation for my midlife crisis cruise, and am trying to purchase a beverage package for one of the rooms I am not staying in. However I can't figure out how to do this without resorting to calling the member services desk. Is there a way through the website to submit this payment?
