  1. My (Android) app just updated this morning. Here's the release note: With this release we've improved guest departure with the addition of departure delay information and enhanced functionality related to multiple port stops. (.... whatever that means....)
  2. I had read there were two specific itineraries that are affected - June 2 and June 16. Let's hope it stays confined to these. https://www.cruisehive.com/speed-issues-change-multiple-itineraries-for-royal-caribbean-ship/97268
  3. Interesting idea! Seems to me that if ECVs are ok, your e-bike would pass muster. But who knows the ways of the naughty room?
  4. If I remember correctly, they've already tweaked Anthem's port schedules for a couple of itineraries in early June. Have ALL my fingers crossed that they'll leave our May 14 sailing alone.....
  5. Still 2 months out, and continue to be amazed every time I read one of these threads. This sounds like a club having a bouncer hired by the city. Makes about 10% sense. Don't understand why RCCL is unwilling or unable to give passengers (better yet, CUSTOMERS) a clear and consistently enforced policy. If security is overriding the company's policies, then there's a problem at one end or the other. How about I just bring hamsters and wheels to generate my own power? Or are those verboten as well?
  6. I know it's not Oasis class, but any chance that Anthem's Izumi offers takeout?
  7. Thanks, all. The app was exactly what I needed. It had been a minute since I checked down at that level. What a helpful bunch!
  8. We're on Anthem for a 7-night Noway cruise on May 14, and looking to book some dining ahead of time. We would like to figure out what the MDR themes are for each night, so we can book opposite something maybe less desirable. I tried to look through the Cruise Compass library, but have not seen that kind of information. Does anyone know if it's possible to figure out what the 7-night rotation is, and would it be the same for all ships? Or at least all in the Quantum class?
  9. Hey now, don't be hating on Brandon The RC IT Intern. He's doing the best he can as it is.
  10. Well, with so many seasoned cruisers here, I'm sure SOMEBODY can lead the drill.....
  11. Kinda freaked out when my phone went off, telling me I have 30 minutes to report for a safety brief. .... Except that my cruise isn't until May 14.
  12. Brian, thanks for the info. We're on Anthem in May and have Key purchased. Very helpful to hear your specific experience!
  13. Probably because the level of information here is at minimum what you would hope for from RCCL. Thanks, Matt!
  14. We've been watching this unfold with much interest. Our Anthem cruise in May will be (essentially) our first, so maybe by that time, all the kinks will have been sorted out. The Mrs. is quite concerned, though, with what looks to be so many "classics" removed. Let's just say she isn't very adventuresome, and if there's a Mediterranean-heavy (or Indian, or take your pick) night with little alternative, for example, then to the Windjammer we shall sail...
  15. I guess it depends on what they're playing: polka music or the theme from Jaws?
  16. So, with a Jamie's lunch (where I don't see any prices on its menu), I'm essentially treating it like MDR that I paid extra for in advance? Order extra starters, dessert, etc? (sorry, color me pre-gold... )
  17. Success booking Jamie's through the app. It showed the correct Black Friday prices. I think I'm done (or at least as far as I can go for now), unless they decide to release another round of excursions for our 5/14 sailing...
  18. I'm a very early riser. Checked it out about 330am Central, and canceled/rebooked all my stuff (Key, water, soda pkg, Chops lunch, one shore excursion) -- and saved $130 overall. Then, when normal people get up, it started acting stoopid. I figure it'll get better once the guy who feeds the hamsters comes in...
  19. Anthem - May 14, 2023. RC rookies!
  20. That was delightful! Just made me more the ready for the next 6 months to fly by, so we can do the fjords on Anthem in May.
  21. Nah -- Galaxy class. So big, it has its own gravitational field, which should make Starlink access much better by having a dedicated swarm of satellites.
