  1. I find it disheartening that people are able to find these sites to complain about their cruise but they can’t find them before they cruise to research and find information that would help them enjoy their cruise.
  2. When the water is warm is you’ll see jellyfish. We have the clear ones that don’t sting right now at my beach but I was in the OBX in August and they had the pink ones and they sting. I was stung on my foot taking a walk down the beach. It stung felt kind of like a bee sting and was uncomfortable for about 20 minutes and then stopped. I didn’t do anything with it. If the jelly fish on CocoCay are the stinging kind I would keep a toddler out of the water and just let them swim in the pool. If they’re in the ocean they’re hard to avoid.
  3. My last cruise there was a bar server on the pool deck that would find me everyday no matter where I lounged and gave me great service the rest of the day! I mentioned him by name on the survey.
  4. Congratulations that’s quite a milestone! You should download the Royal Caribbean application on your phone. Then input your cruise using your booking number. This app will then show you the date that you’ll check in for your cruise. It’s usually 45 days before sailing. During check in you’ll choose an arrival time to the pier, enter identification information and answer 3 health questions. Once that’s completed you’ll be able to view and print your SetSail Pass.
  5. Not doing any research. Our first cruise was when our boys were younger so it was 5 of us on an 8 night cruise. I was shocked at the end when I saw the bill for gratuities! I had no idea we were going to get this charge. Now I overly research.
  6. If you want to be together on a vacation why not cancel the cruise and do something you both want to do. A happy marriage is filled with compromises. You absolutely have no justification in being upset with him.
  7. We walked off at 6:45am last fall on Oasis. As long as the ship docks and is cleared as usual you’ll be ok with that flight. Even without TSA Pre I think you’d be fine.
  8. I got it for $17.99 this past spring for a cruise this September.
  9. Do you have any experience with Bayonne and what they have for suites at the terminal?
  10. You can try taking Bonine before bed each night starting the night before the cruise. I had horrible side effects from the prescription patch. Probably because you’re not supposed to consume alcohol while using it and I did anyway.
  11. I uploaded our passports for our upcoming cruise but I’ve stopped doing the pictures. They always redo it anyway for us. No idea why.
  12. Just to clarify you’ll be disembarking the ship in NJ and not NY.
  13. I agree. We wouldn’t want a Genie either. Seems like added pressure to me. I can easily make my own reservations. I’m glad there are Sky suites to suit everyone’s needs and wants.
  14. If you don’t vacation often I’d definitely do it. We only cruise once a year so I splurgeThe extra room, the big balcony, and the separate beds for your kids would be worth it to me. I don’t care about walking since I usually need to burn calories anyway!
  15. Unfortunately they’ve closed that loophole.
