  1. maybe size? although I think they are at max width due to the journey it takes down the river from the shipyard. maybe wider above the waterline and longer? or just a lot of new different features / layout?
  2. I've been to Jamaica once and although you do get 'harassed' by the locals trying to sell things I found it easy enough to avoid them and not be enticed. that being said I can see how other would not want this experience and how it could have a negative effect on a lot of guests. Falmouth as a place though I found it and the country to be superb!
  3. Yeah I'm happy with that, has a cool ring to it I guess. but which class of ship does it suit the most....?
  4. I will wear my Lapel with so much pride wooo!
  5. I've recently become platinum wooooo! I'm just wondering what perks you get onboard? I know with gold you got a few BOGO milkshakes and money of phots etc, does anyone have a picture of the perks at all? I know there's normally a list waiting in your stateroom on arrivals day so I'm just curious to see if they have changed at all?
  6. I as on Rhapsody 2 weeks ago. Now having only been on newer ships ( Anthem, Oasis, Harmony, Indy) I was excited to see what she offered and she certainly did not disappoint! Sure she hasn't got the food variety of some of the mega ships nor as many activities to do like the flowrider etc but that certainly didn't hinder the holiday one bit. I must say I really loved the experience, the ship was full yet seemed so quiet and there was never ever a shortage of sunbeds. the ship does not look dated or tired if I am honest, a few fixtures and fittings look a little old and outdated but that does not take anything away from the ship what so ever. any more questions about the ship just ask me :)
  7. Having been on both classes I would have to say Oasis class, so much more deck space especially for sun lounging which I like to do. Having said that I do enjoy the music hall on Anthem and the 270 experience.
  8. Just a bump to say i'm on independence from England in 3 weeks if anyone wants a model bought for them?
  9. I just upgraded our room to a Spa junior suite on Anthem Of The Seas for Novemeber, worked out about £400 more but I get $200 OBC and a few perks, mostly the double points though! Does anyone know for sure if coastal kitchen is complimentary in the evening? can I go there for lunch and breakfast at all?
  10. I will be onboard in around 40 days and will be persicoping and get any pictures you would like?
  11. I believe they will go on sale in a few weeks.so you say 21 April 2018 for Symphonys first sailing out of Barcelona. so take a week off for the travel from Southampton that gives you 14th April. if we are lucky enough to see her it would be around 7th April I guess.
  12. I was watching one of Matts periscopes and heard something about the 2018 group cruise being in June and going to Alaska. Is this true?
  13. Do you think they will ever bring back the beer/wine package?
  14. The double points are a bonus if your only gold like poor old me :(
  15. WAAAYTOOO, I suspected as much. Always thought it was best to ask as I wasn't sure.
  16. I will be sailing on Rhapsody of the seas in May in a Aft Junior suite room. and was wondering if I can get the upgraded room service menu like other suites or is it just for grand suites and above? I know Rhapsody has less balconies and suites so didn't know if the rule differs for the smaller ship?
  17. I will be on rhapsody in about 70 days I need a PV cabin, I will be periscoping the whole experiance if you want to follow me at j_keeble Will get some picture for the blog too as I think it's a stateroom category where there arnt many pictures.
  18. She is spending 6/7 months in England then back to the Caribbean.
  19. Pamw. I think my post may of been confusing but I'm the first sailing when she arrives back into England. so keep her warm for me :P
  20. I have been on 4 cruises and have always had a balcony and once a JS. I'm from England but think if i'm going to the Caribbean a balcony is a must! I'm on independence in april from sunny England - to Paris and Bruge. I will be trying out a promenade stateroom for the first time so I cud interested to see how I find that and how I will cope without a balcony. Only time will tell. Also in May I'm on Rhapsody and have a PV which is an ocean view stateroom but with a much larger window so im very excited to try this and periscope too. find me at j_keeble
  21. matt had a blog post about some sort of water shoe and I purchased them for my western Caribbean cruise and wore them everywhere! They really were great. and only about $20
