The charm of the smaller ships is that they have that classic cruising feel. I'd like it if the Discovery class were to have a very large centrum. As wide as the Sovereign class and as tall or taller than the Vision/Radiance classes with windows to the sea all the way up.
Just out of curiosity, on the Vision, decks 7 and 8 in the centrum have cabins on both sides, it's looks like they originally had windows and were open. Does anyone know when the cabins were added? Were they added to all the Vision class ships? Does anyone have a picture of the centrum before the cabins were added? It must have been spectacular.
they did add cabins either side, i've stayed in them and theyre actually a really good option!

I have recently got off wonder of the seas and i purchased 2 pictures onboard in printable form

hmm she mentioned i can change one name but not both
which is really annoying as prices have jumped up £1000 seeing as we booked it in 2019 but the pandemic made us delay it

I have a big group cruise coming up, my wedding cruise in-fact in September
I was wondering if once onboard I could go to guest services and change a couple of guests cabins around?
for example swap 1 person from 1 to put in another?
has anyone had an experience with this?

Has Royal ever homeported from elsewhere in UK?
Yes! my place of work Harwich International Port, they were here for over 30 years with many ships including. legend, vision, splendour, jewel and brilliance.
the later 2 i saw come in every 2 weeks when they done the Baltic cruises. thats how I got into cruising, and the minute i go into it they stopped home porting here around 2015

My spreadsheet uses a formula to write the word Block into a cell and then conditional formatting rules makes it appear or disappear. My points column looks at cruise duration and depending on cabin type and date relative to the dates of the double points promo it automatically calculates the bonus multiplier.
When they extended the date of the double points promo i just corrected one cell and all my new blocks updated. It also colors my points background to match the CAS color at each level.
If I insert or remove a cruise it recalculates the block projection automatically.
I also note the deposit type and if I applied an FCC so I know to be careful with that booking.
It also calculates the price per night and price per C&A point then applies a color background based on fixed price ranges. The greener it is the better the deal it is.
I may have a problem.
wow look at this!! is it possible to get a copy of this excel spreadsheet? it looks fantastic.

Rhapsody cabins like the corner afts on deck 7 are going quickly. So far these look to be as popular as Grandeur but there does appear to be a price increase over Grandeur.
certainly cheaper for me to book via US site. price difference is huge! honey moon cruise 2022 here we come

its cheap to fly from England to Barbados, well around £300 which is cheap.

We ran into that with ours .. there was a line of about 50 people waiting at the elevator bank for us leave so they could start Karaoke ...
Where were you waiting? and did you have an event?

My US Travel agent has secured group rates and we are in the process of all booking up. around 20 cabins in total so 40 guests.
she's tried to get some information but has been told what I said in the first post that there are only certain times which seem very very restrictive.
all I want I a couple of barmen and a DJ in a venue :L
Do you think it is possible on a sea day then @Matt they have said it can be done but not till after 10:30pm zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hmm I'm unsure this is Covid related. it seems royals events team are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard

Thanks for your response! We are planning our wedding completely independently as royal don’t offer this service for European ports. I believe My US travel agent is in contact with the events team as weddings won’t deal with us.
useful insight though JL
Do we expect more refurbishment news?

@twangster any thoughts as your rationale is usually spot on.
