  1. I like Invicta watches, and have quite a few. That said, I never purchase one onboard. If I see one I really want, I will make note of the model number and then check Amazon when I get home. Always cheaper.
  2. From what i can see, Harmony will be in St Thomas the 13th, and oasis will be in Labadee. Allure would be transiting between Nassau and Cozumel. However... As RBRSKI mentioned, the 17th/18th seems possible, as Oasis is in Canaveral the 18th, so coming up the Florida coast the 17th Allure is in Miami the 18th, coming up the Florida coast the 17th Harmony is in Ft. Lauderdale the 18th, coming up the Florida coast the 17th Symphony is in Miami the 17th. Fingers crossed???
  3. They do change back to Central or forward to Atlantic if needed, I've had to do both from FL ports.
  4. BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE IN ALL MY TRIPS TO LABADEE!!!
  5. For my 11/24 serenade sailing (St. Thomas on 11/27) the Tram, Paradise Point, and Skyline Drive are all no longer available via CruisePlanner
  6. I know it's extreme, but perhaps break the knife blade off?
  7. At the end of the day, if you made the wise decision to board a Royal ship, its all good!
  8. Twangster I took the liberty of annotating your photo. Since RCCL and celebrity are both owned by RCI, who knows which ship will use which dock.
  9. First time I went to St. Lucia we booked with a local company: Cosol Tours. Local owner (but ex-US.MIL). It was a fantastic day hitting all the island highlights. Don't know about kids though, they might not be too impressed.
  10. Ill be boarding Serenade day after Thanksgiving. If nothing is open on 17th St I'll just grab a bite at the hotel. Did that 9 nite Navi sailing last April and it was a blast.will do it again in January! Last Curacao visit I did the caves and city walking tour. Caves we're ok... Natural Bridge Caverns in San Marcos was much better, but the city tour was very nice. Wilemstead is very pedestrian friendly. After it was over I wandered on my own for a few more hours and found a great little outdoor place for lunch. The walk back to the pier was great as well, with the floating bridge and much more to see. January I'm just going to walk to town and hang out.
  11. All the beaches here along the Space coast have been hit hard by all the hurricane activity this year. The sand loss is huge, and none of the beaches are what they usually are.
  12. I've never used anything but USD (except in Cuba).
  13. They really are the best! Classic, old-style cruising: connect with the sea...
  14. no dry-aged options on my last 2 sailings. And they discontinued my onion soup :(
  15. Tampa is an easy port both embark and disembark. Radiance Class is my favorite (but Brilliance is the only one of the 4 I've never sailed...yet)
  16. In August, Chops was $35 on Empress. They were also offering a BOGO on boarding day if you went the first night. I've never had a bad meal at chops on any ship, but the Chops on Empress was amazing!
  17. Did it back in '13. Great time, no complaints. Took the time to wander away from the lagoon and explore the undeveloped part of the island...really reminded me of what Cococay was in the old days! They run a few tours on the island, the dolphin encounter is there and you can actually get close enough to watch while on the beach break. Lunch was about a 6/10. kept me going till I got back to Nassau but nothing note-worthy. Return boats start running in the afternoon and you could take Any one you like, as they all went back to the pier.
  18. Yes, the shuttle to town is available, but you wait a long time waiting for it to fill up. Its only about 75 steps from the shuttle place to the main gates of the port complex. If you walk out the gates (unlike some other places, this is PERFECTLY SAFE), there are plenty of taxis waiting. They are not allowed to come into the port complex so they wait right outside the gate. It is/was $2 per person to go to town, and $2 for the return trip. Walk out, grab a cab, go to town, enjoy! PRC
  19. When I used them I still had a few hours to kick back in town and relax before heading back to the pier.
  20. You could leave the bathroom light on and the door closed. The bottom of the door has a gap and will provide a night light-like effect.
  21. There is one in the bathroom labeled "Shaver Only" or Razor Only" and had a picture of a guy shaving (sort of). This outlet is usually dual voltage (you can get 110 or 220 from it) and has a very low amperage capacity (usually 250mA or less). Not usable for much these days unless you have a very old style plug in shaver. In theory you may get a low powered phone charger to use it but much more than that will trip its breaker. Some ships tie these to the lights in the bathroom also, so no light, no outlet.
  22. After her drydock, there will be a 4nt, 7nt, then 10nt. I'll be on the 10 so I've been curious about this too. As far as I can tell it will be mostly a marine maintenance drydock (required every 5 years) with no major changes to the hotel side except general repairs and replacements. I did 11 on her last November and it was a blast. Radiance class has always been my favorite ;)
