  1. Does anyone know the price of a taxi to go from the Falmouth port to the Good Hope Chukka outpost? DH does not ride in buses as he gets terribly carsick. I can arrange for a day at the Chukka outpost if we are staying "local" or if we are providing our own transportation. Thank you!
  2. I'm a bit confused. I looked up the cruise to make sure I knew which ports--we cruise out of Galveston a lot. For next October, I'm seeing Adventure with 4/5 nights and Allure with 6/7 nights. The only thing that is listed is Western itineraries--Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel. FWIW, I do prefer the Eastern ports--Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, but we really like beaches. Galveston is super easy. We usually fly in the day before and stay with friends. A lot of the people we cruise with take the airport shuttle through RCCL.
  3. Thanks for this review. I have been struggling to figure out exactly what to do at this port. You helped x out one options.
  4. In case anyone is wondering, if you have a cruise from Galveston with the Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth ports, this is what your schedule will look like: Day 1--Embark. Sign form at dive shop Day 2--Pool time 6:45am - 10am Day 3--Cozumel. Diving from sunset beach (sand dollars) which is a 10 min walk from the port Day 4--George Town. diving from boat. (I don't know what that means. Does it mean we dive directly off the cruise ship?). According to the person I've been emailing, each of these should last about 4-5 hours Thank you Brendon for helping me get this info.
  5. Thanks for your insight! I've reached out via the [email protected] email, but I have not heard back from them. Was your training one morning in the pool on the ship or two? It looks like it might be a pretty big class for my cruise as there are only 4 spots left. I have a cruise in October and then another in February. It sounds like if something goes awry for the October one I can finish up with the February cruise. Did you purchase your snorkel and mask onboard?
  6. Correction—Liberty, not Freedom.
  7. Years ago, we did our first tour with Native Choice in Costa Maya. It was when David, the owner, was doing the tours himself. It seriously changed the course of our daughter's life who was in the 6th grade at the time. His story is amazing. The company has grown quite a bit since then, but the heart is still the same and I recommend Native Choice to anyone and everyone.
  8. Hey, I am thinking about doing the PADI certification on my Oct cruise (Freedom 10/2). The diving ports would be Cozumel and Grand Cayman. 1. Has anyone done this through RCCL recently and 2. Do you know the dive shops they use in these two ports? My fam isn't interested in diving, but I'm trying to find them an activity close to the dive shops. Thank you so much!
