  1. Same here.....UNTIL YESTERDAY! We were 12 days out until our Oasis cruise in Miami. Crazy thing, is this is 2 times in a row for getting the upgrade. We were awarded one on Wonder in July. That makes me a moderate professional at the art of upgrading........ That settles it. In an effort to show love to others.......I officially allow anyone gambling to get an upgrade (find the fun in trying) to call it a CharmMicah68. Like using a rabbits foot or blowing on dice before a roll. You're welcome. Seriously.....I don't know how it happens. It feels like dumb luck.
  2. By NO means could they repurpose larger ship venues that we all have witnessed to be EMPTY.....instead reduce/remove/restrict loyalty levels. It's a cool trend right now, Delta/AMEX is doing the same thing. Good news....looks like we may be able to gain loyalty points cruising Celebrity going forward under a possibly merged program. It's the other side of the poop sandwich.
  3. On Oasis this November. Any suggestions on private shuttle/limo services from FLL area (where we fly into) to MIA cruise port? We will overnight in FLL area, then go to MIA cruise port in the AM. Off the ship at earliest time coming back to take private shuttle/limo back to FLL.
  4. We just got off Wonder and it was a great cruise. More "Groups" cruising than I can ever remember. It really felt more than the usual. Having said that, there was a significant reduction in young children then when we were on Wonder in February. That was insane. @Neesa knows what it is like on Wonder with an out of wack/crazy kid to adult ratio. Emphasis on crazy. We love to tip people who genuinely try to "love" on and engage us. Selfishly, on busy and crowded ships, it helps to be remembered. If my wife and I hung out at the Mason Jar Bar nightly. We tipped the bar crew very well each night. They were incredible. We connect (converse and tip) with a pool attendent that will care for us and the Solarium bartenders that will see us through the masses. We don't do it to be flashy, but to find those who bust their butt. Especially in light of each day of their lives on a cruise ship being a redundant commodity, and yet they find a way to NOT make you feel like you are part of a "job". We find THOSE people and tip, tip, tip. My grandmother constantly told me, "Error on the side of generosity". So, budget to tip those who make the effort......and then tip to cheer up those poor Cabin attendants that need more smiles in their life.
  5. @Neesa So.....I am hoping you did @Lovetocruise2002 and me a solid by taking all the crazies with you on your week cruising Wonder. NOT that we wished it upon you.....but....if the unhinged, me me me, lacking preciousness of others, summer vacation seeking newbies were ALL on your Wonder cruise.....we would be in your debt. Thanks for taking one for the team.
  6. Good Evening, @Neesa. It's time to head to Mason Jar. Side note, avoid every dessert...and the brunch. This is your only warning. I cannot be held responsible for your actions. Grab one of these: ....pardon the 2 other watermarks....I believe, from what I remember, they were from pre-sugar drink warm ups of Eagle Rare Bourbon (featured at Mason Jar).
  7. @OCSC Mike @Sweety Ditto and echo your thoughts. My wife is a SPED Occupational Therapist early childhood development. it is obsurd the conditions, numbers, and bureaucracy she has to deal with. Not to mention....the expectations of parents. ON A LIGHTER note, that daily chaos has conditioned her and allows her to STILL completely relax on a crowded cruise ship! @Neesaupdate on activities....LET'S go slacker!
  8. THAT We do the Beach Club every time now. Yes the price can be scary and is all over the board (unpredictable)....BUT I find new and creative ways to justify going to it. Which is mainly when my wife says..."We are going to the Beach Club....right?"
  9. @Neesa Iove following this channel right now. Some fun people who I would enjoy sharing a beverage with. So, I need you to hide a duck super good, we are on WOS again July 16. We found a duck in February and hope to find another. ALSO, you inspired me to keep trying the Royal UP program. It can't be just luck.....I hope....but it sure feels like it. I bid upgrades on each cruise we go on. NEVER won....UNTIL YESTERDAY! Booked a GTY Balcony (props to MEI) and assigned 14 floor Central Park. So I Bid on 3 different cabins barely above minimum. Weird, the bids expired and I was allowed to bid again. So I did. Same numbers. Only this time, I threw a RCC credit card points stateroom upgrade on it. This is another weird thing....I didn't get the lower cabin upgrade, I got 2 bumps up cabin upgrade. Not a JS, but still large ocean view balcony on a great floor. Is it a coincidence I did it with RCC points.....???? Maybe. I choose to believe to give me hope Have a great cruise!
  10. We were on it in Feb 2023 and it did. Best selection on the ship.
  11. Mason Jar....Eagle Rare...mic drop. I tipped the waiter there back in February on WOS to hide the bottle behind the others for the week. Same here, would like to know what the current bourbon situation is on board. We are on WOS again this July.
  12. There was a couple on Wonder of the Seas last week that I saw wearing them. They had gotten them on another ship, brought them and guest services was able to program them for use. They told me this was the first cruise for Wonder to use them, although not for sale on the ship.
  13. We are on the Wonder the week after you and all the shows were on the Royal App just yesterday. This party of 12 travels! We are booked for all the entertainment.....even the Escape Room. .....now just waiting for Check in and the dash to get UDP bookings for 12.
  14. You know when your hard drive crashes, but you can restore it from a previous point in time.....only you don't go back in time.....it just brings the hard drive from THAT point in time....to now. I would like to do that with 2019 rules, service levels, staff levels, prices, etc... The world crashed and we need to restore the backup. Is there a function on my computer or somewhere hidden in the world to do that?
  15. Nassau is the price you pay......for CocoCay. Here's our typical Nassau routine. Out of guilt, we need to make an effort....off we go to observe the progress of the new piers, pretty views of the waterway, how much larger RCCL boats are over the other ones in port (walk a little taller because of it), watch people losing themselves in selfies and missing the experience trying to capture it, look at the progress of the new cruise port terminal, walk past a dry version of what appears to be a Wet Market feel gathering, walk into Nassau, avoid cars, listen for horns, walk the town, say no to 100 people, begin to feel the need for a beverage, circle back around to the dock area and see the progress made, tell ourselves someday this will be nice when everything is built up, really feel the need for a beverage.....walk 20 minutes back to the boat......go to Chops for lunch and Wonder why we left. It's the price you pay for CocoCay.
  16. Shari3 might be right on scheduling lunch once get onboard. We weren't able to on our cruise until we got to the Club. I would check right away when you board on the first day of the cruise.
  17. They have nice towels laid across the beach chairs when you arrive. If you want more, they will get them for you. You can't schedule lunch until you arrive at the Beach Club. We didn't have an issue, but it will fill up at the prime time slots. I would recommend booking the lunch reservation as soon as you arrive. We were there this summer and will be back in February. Great place, vibe, pool, service and food. Enjoy!
  18. Thanks for this information. We are on the Wonder of the Seas in February with a party of 12. I decided to grab us the UDP, with a back-up at the MDR of early seating. RCC communicated to me (via email) that they will help us with the first night dinner reservation and communicate with the ship to group us together at one of the venues, but we have to take ownership of the following reservations. Fair enough, in my mind. Ideally we would like to be together at the same table at each Specialty dining location, but I am totally fine with 2 tables of 6 or even 3 tables of 4.....THEY just need to be near each other and at the same time even if it is early. You see, 1 of the 12 is GRANNY. Here is the deal with GRANNY, we can do whatever we want through the day.....but....DINNER is done together. I kid you not, I have planned this whole trip, flights and all.....THAT is the ONLY expectation that is stressing me, lol. I believe it has accelerated my aging. Any hints or suggestions appreciated.
  19. You know what Michigan people do when it is 68 Degrees in February?
  20. We are on the Wonder in Feb and paid $123 pp.....I still think it is worth it. The pool is on the mark for temperature, too. Not bath water, not shrinkage temperature. On the money.
  21. Asking for clarity here. We are on WOS in February. this is in light of likely massive server crashes from all of us cruise nuts trying to throw more money at RCC. The BLACK FRIDAY deals will remain the same through the weekend even though the name changes to CYBER MONDAY? I would like to avoid using cuss words if there is a deal and I can't get to it. Any pointers? Strategies for "winning" on BLACK FRIDAY deals?
