If a guest is unable to make the cruise (Jan 5th) how easy is it to bring another person? I don’t think I’d like to cancel and re-book. Can RC simply change the name on the reservation?

If I put something in my Shopping Cart in the Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner (i.e. 3 Night Dining Package 40% discount) will it be subject to change if the deal changes. So basically if next week it drops down to 10% off or goes away completely, do I miss the discount i found? Thanks!
