My wife and I have sailed on Adventure 4 times and next Sunday will be our fifth, excellent ship. I prefer Adventure over the newer bigger ships. You can't go wrong with Adventure.

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
When we booked the cruise we didn't realize it was weekend before Super Bowl. With that being said the room rates we unbelievable (2 to 3 times more than I was expecting). We settled on the Holiday Inn on 17th St. When I called to book the rooms they asked if I had any points I wanted to use towards the rooms. I forgot about my points and I had enough to book the rooms and still had some left to use on my next cruise. If it wasn't for them asking if I had points the rooms would have cost $262 per room plus taxes for 1 night times 4 rooms. With the savings I was able to book Chops for the group and pre-book a few surprise for the Wife.

The wife and I did this on Oasis in June, to me I would not do it again. The Galley tour lasted all of about 10 mins. They took thru where they make up the shrimp cocktails and salads for dinner and the fruit plates for the suite guests and then walked us thru the main galley where the main dishes come off the line then back out to the dinning room for your brunch. as for the brunch, only had 3 choices and never given the opportunity to place a second order, service was very slow. The best part about it was meeting and talking with the people that was sitting at the table with us for brunch.  This is just my opinion of course, others may have had a better experience.

I have used the Luggage Valet twice, once in Port Canaveral and also in Miami. Well worth the money!!. Set my luggage outside our state room night before and picked it up at baggage claim when I returned home. Not having to find your luggage after getting off the ship and dragging them around until you drop them off at check in at the airpot makes it well worth it. IMHO

When I called to make the cabin change I thought that I would get the upgrade due to the lower rate but not the Money back for the difference in price, but when the rep told me I would get the difference refunded to my card I told him that I thought the policy was that no refunds in price after final payment and he said I would get the refund back on my card. When I hung up I was for sure thinking that I was never going to get the refund back. But 2 weeks later the refund was back on my card. I guess everyone gets lucky every now and then.

Definitely call RCL, I had a GS booked on Oasis in Feb and 2 weeks before sailing the price for a CLS was $750 cheaper than our GS. I called and was upgraded to the CLS and got the $750 refined back to my credit card. Also had a inside cabins for my daughter and son in law and a inside cabin for my nephew and his wife on the same reservation and was able to move them to a balcony cabin for the cost of the inside cabin. So it is definitely worth a try.

I believe if you are booked in a Suite, that you will get free pressing for the first formal night. The wife and I were on Oasis the last week of Feburary in a ATS and we got the free pressing.

Sailing on Oasis on Feb 25th, and last Saturday was checking pricing, found ATS and CLS both lower than I paid for my Grand Suite. It's after final payment so I called was able to move to the ATS with a savings of $572. The RCL Rep told me that I would be receiving the credit back to the card I made my payments from. I told him that I thought that once final payment is made that no refund were given. He said the driffrence woud be credited back. I was not getting my hopes up but the credit showed up in bank account on Friday. Anyone else ever seen this before.

Even if things are bad, they are good in a certain way, if they remind you of something. I'm reminded of being a kid and going to Jack-in-the-Box, when they still had them in Illinois. I used to get their tacos and a order of frings, which were half fries and half onion rings. I'm sure the food was pretty bad, but it is a fond memory of my childhood.

The wife and I try to cruise every February, looking at the Oasis in 2015. We always book a Grand Suite but I was looking at the Crown Loft Suite on the Oasis, not much diffrence in price right now and seems like a good deal. Anybody have a preference or input on which is the better cabin.

Meet a couple on Adventure in December last year that cruises every winter for 6 months. Said it was cheaper than having a home in Florida just for the winter.

Wife and I are doing the same thing, we are saving $1100 by leaving out of Cleveland rather than Detroit. We are staying at the Marriott by the airport for $130 for the night and parking for 8 days. The savings will pay for the hotel and parking and rental car in Florida for the week and all our tickets for Disney and Universal Studio's. I found the hotel and parking by doing a google search for stay, park, fly in Cleveland.

Wife and I are sailing on Adventure out of San Jaun Dec 12th, this is our third cruise on Adventure (Our favorite Ship) we always take taxi from airport. Quick and easy to get taxi right outside baggage claim, I beleive it's around $20-$25 to the port, usually at the port with-in an hour from getting off the plane.
