That the calories on cruises don't count.

Yes! I have seen them on several ships. I can't say for sure which ships have them or that all of them do, but I know I recently saw one of these machines, either on Harmony or Oasis since those are the ones I've been on recently.

Also, 12 bottles can be brought on-board in your carry-on during embarkation, but on no other day.

Onboard, we went to Guest Services and asked that very question, because one stop was Coco Cay and we were worried about our kids spending money.  They put a $ 1.00 limit on their cards so the card still worked but they could not spend any money.  It worked great and this is what we do now every time we cruise.  You have to be onboard the ship to make this happen, simple and easy.

You would think the wine bar would at least serve cheese and crackers. But yeah, I'm not above walking to Sorrentos or Cafe Promenade in between beverages.

I did read that the Arcade sets a limit of $50 (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/can-limits-be-placed-on-arcade-spending)but can of course be increased if requested buy the credit card holder. My suggestion if overspend is a concern of yours is to either use a cash account for the kids sea pass or use a different credit card for the kids sea pass and call the card bank ahead of time to put a limit on the RC spend. Both a fairly easy to do.

Wait, that defeats the purpose of deactivating the card if it can be re-activated by your kids in the arcade.  Sigh.

My husband and I were just on Oasis last week and we are going with the whole family on another cruise in August. While on the ship, we asked at guest services if we can place spending limits on our our youngest kids’ Seapass cards. She asked if they were over 15. I said, yes, then she told me to go to guest services when we board and they can place a daily limit on each of my teen’s cards. I don’t know why age matters, but this is what they told me. Hopefully this is something we can do for the next cruise. One kid will listen and not overspend, another….not so much!
