@Traveling Mike I hope all is well with you. It sounds to me that you have a bad case of Burn Out => 60 hours/week. You really need this vacation.
Don't worry about this blog - worry about your own health. Have a great time.
My only question - what does MDR serve for Thanksgiving? Anything special.

Well, there went your vacation glow.

I too am an northerner (New Englander), who just does not know what to do with my winter coat/gloves/hat. We once traveled to FL from PA (after visiting my sister). We had left all of our winter gear in the car. The plan was for my husband to get the car from the parking lot while I watched our three very young kids.
Go figure - Philly got dumped with snow. Over 12 inches. Poor hubby had to clear off the now with his bare hands to get the car door open. While the car was warming up, he bundled up in his VERY COLD winter gear and got busy clearing the rest of the snow. 45 minutes later, he was driving up in a warm car to pick us up.
Moral of the story - bring along 1 set of warm weather gear for the person who is responsible for getting the car. LOL

I'm such a procrastinator I don't want to pack till last minute and can't commit to one outfit for the next day..lol. So, I might try carrying the bags next time..thoughts?
I hate dragging my bags behind me. As far as committing to one outfit - you will only be in that one outfit for a few hours. If the outfit is really uncomfortable, you will be reunited with your bags by 9am. Then you can change in the car. Been there, done that.

I will try and keep up on the blog as best I can and try to remember to take pictures. I am really bad usually at remembering to do that. Any questions or things you want me to check out just let me know.
Get your family involved. They can remind you to take the pictures or provide you with their pictures. They could also do a write up of a meal or activity for you. I bet a few of them would get a kick out of it.

so — has anyone had a massage onboard recently? we’ve got OBC to burn
I know that you can get massages much cheaper on land. But I absolutely LOVE getting a massage (or two) during my cruise. Just make sure you stress before the start that you do NOT want any sales pitch. Otherwise you will lose your massage glow.

KB - know your audience. We are so desperate for these blogs that we will take them anyway we can - written by a first grader, blurry pictures, days (ok years) late. I know we will enjoy everything you are able to deliver. But most important - enjoy your cruise!

As I am reading this post and munching on almonds, thank you for both the posts and being an almond farmer!!!! If you have any favorite almond recipe, please share after your cruise.

Now I feel bad about hijacking this blog over coconut. Ok, NOT! But I thought it was funny to see how many people responded to my post about Almond Joy. Looking forward to your Cruise embarkation day. Do we really have to wait 5 1/2 more weeks!
Good luck with your RUB! I hope you win.

Here are some Halloween Jokes:
- Where does the witch usually take her vacation? Anywhere that has a broom with a view.
- Why did the ghost leave his job? He hated the graveyard shift.
- How did Dracula learn to be a vampire? He took a crash corpse.
- How do you get rid of demons? Exorcise a lot.
A Cruise I'm Not Excited About

I am glad you are having a good time. Your comments about the food is spot on. My sister is always disappointed with cruise food but that is because she is expecting a 5 star quality/experience. She forgets the cruise ship is cooking for 2000, 3000, 4000+.
