Doing Alaska on Ovation in a few weeks and the drink package is mid $70's/per day USD. $105 per day USD for a 10 night cruise is craziness.

Howdy folks! New to the RCBlog so if I've missed a previous thread on this, please just direct me there. I tried the search function without success... We're booked on an Ovation of the Seas Alaska trip in May and my wife and I are curious about what can be done RE the mattresses in the staterooms. We both find the standard RCCL mattress and bed to be very hard and uncomfortable for us. We cruised on Liberty in November and it was the same story. Any tips or tricks here? We've had the mattress pads added and they did essentially nothing. I read somewhere to have the cabin steward fold up two duvet's under the fitted sheet?? Anyone tried that? Let me know what you think!
