  1. Still no EV charging at the port as of June. This is probably your best bet for a supercharger to use close to the port. It was right next to the EA station and had a ton of stalls open when I was there. Elizabeth Supercharger | Elizabeth, NJ | EV Station (plugshare.com) If anyone with a CCS car stumbles on this threat, I used the station below to top off to 80% before I parked. Got the full 200KW my car can charge at from the station and was in and out in 20 minutes. https://www.plugshare.com/location/252786
  2. Hey everyone, I’m sailing on Quantum in the Owners loft in 6 days and haven’t heard from the genie via email. Is there a way I can reach out to get in contact? Previous star class sailings I’ve been contacted multiple weeks out.
  3. Heard in my Facebook group that it has been broken for the last 2 sailings at least.
  4. Hi everyone, My wife and I are heading to Alaska on Quantum of the seas at the end of August in the Owner's Loft Suite. We have sailed Star Class on Oasis class ships in the Caribbean and to Canada before, but this will be our first time on a Quantum class ship Star Class and first time on an Alaska cruise at all. Do any of you have any specific suggestions for things to ask our Genie for that would be specific to Quantum of the Seas, Alaska itineraries, or departure from the port in Seattle? I can't think of anything personally off the top of my head outside the normal dining and show reservations, but I wanted to check with the experts on the topic. I put the itinerary below. Thanks in advance! 28 Aug 16:00 Departing from Seattle, Washington hotels 30 Aug 08:00 - 17:00 Ketchikan, Revillagigedo Island, Alaska 31 Aug 08:00 - 17:00 Sitka, Baranof Island, Alaska 01 Sep 05:30 - 10:00 Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska 01 Sep 13:00 - 21:00 Juneau, Alaska 03 Sep 17:00 - 22:00 Victoria BC, Vancouver Island, BC Canada 04 Sep 07:00 Arriving in Seattle, Washington
  5. In my past experience if it switches to showing one pending and the rest expired then it means you got it. I've seen this happen on 3 successful bids.
  6. With the ships you list specifically my choice would by Symphony>Navigator>Ovation>Explorer. Quantum class is fine, but I prefer the promenade you get on Voyager and Freedom class ships to the Esplanade on Quantum class. Since Navigator was amplified, it has a lot of very nice, upgraded amenities. Explorer didn't get an amplification, so its below Ovation for me.
  7. I'm going to pile on with the opinion that the Esplanade doesn't feel nearly as good as the Promenade does. I enjoyed Odyssey, but unless the itinerary was an absolute winner for Odyssey then I'd go with Oasis. In fact, I would probably even pick a ship like Freedom or Independence over Odyssey if all the itineraries are the same because they at least have a promenade.
  8. Another good point for these rooms is that they were all added well after the ship was built. The decor and overall condition of the room is much better than the rooms in other parts of the ship.
  9. Not yet, but definitely eying a weekend in Winter '24 in that Solarium Suite. That room looks incredible.
  10. Thanks! this is good info. From the deck plan and interior photos Anthem and Ovation look pretty much the same, so they would probably have the same layout issues you describe. I'll go with a middle GS on Deck 10.
  11. Hi everyone, My Wife and I are looking at booking a Grand Loft Suite for a New Zealand cruise and I'm wondering if anyone has an experience with the grand loft suites on Ovation. My first instinct is to pick one of the corner rooms on Deck 10, but are there advantages to the center grand lofts on deck 8 or the center grand lofts on deck 10 that I haven't considered. Thanks in advance.
  12. Sorry. I should have been more clear. The name of the product is the 5 night package, but the description text is from the Unlimited. The Unlimited isn’t offered under the planner for the cruise.
  13. Hi everyone, I have a 5 night Bermuda cruise on Libery in June. I reserved the 5 night dining package, which I figured would work like the 3 night dining package does (where each meal is a "night"), but I just saw in the text below the package on the cruise planner says the description of what is usually the unlimited dining package. Anyone have any experience with this on a 5 night sailing? I am assuming the description is likely an error, but if anyone has a different experience I'd like to know. Text from the cruise planner page below. Overview Savor the savings with the Unlimited Dining Package. For one low price, you can enjoy multiple entrees and visit multiple specialty restaurants every night of your sailing. And as an added perk, this unlimited package also applies to lunch at specialty restaurants on sea days. A courtesy reservation will be made for Day 1 or 2 of your sailing. Please see Important Details and Advisements for more information. What's Included Unlimited visits to speciality dining restaurants every night of your sailing and lunch on sea days. For restaurants with a la carte pricing, you’ll receive a $20 food credit, which can only be used once a day. For ships with this venue, Izumi Sushi is a prix fixe menu or $34.99 food credit. For ships with these venues, Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi is included, with a $15 surcharge, and Chef's Table is included, with a $49.99 surcharge. These will be charged once onboard.
  14. My wife and I use AMEX Travel for our bookings. We mostly use them for the "Cruise Privileges Program". Our TA has been the same TA for every booking. He's reasonably responsive, but nothing I would call amazing. My wife and I usually sail in a JS or higher, so the 300 OBC and bottle of champagne in the room (5 nights sailings and longer) are nice, but other than that, I wouldn't call our experience with AMEX anything special.
  15. My cruise planner for the soda package on a June 15, 2023 sailing on Liberty does say Freestyle beverages, but I don't know if it just says that on all of the planners regardless of if the ship has them or not.
  16. I can't seem to get the new guest-terms page to load. I wonder what this change is.
  17. Not specifically Mariner, but I've stayed in a deck 10 Owners Suite on Voyager of the Seas and the dragging of deck chairs started at about 6AM every day and woke us up all the time. I've also stayed in a Grand Suite on deck 10 of Freedom of the Seas and had 0 problems with noise in that room. I'd just be careful with the room selection and try to look for less active areas of the pool deck. Also possible Mariner has better insulation than Voyager since Mariner is a Second Generation Voyager Class ship.
  18. Had my first cruise ever on Enchantment in December 2021. It is definitely an older ship, but the common areas are in a good state. The state rooms are looking worn (I was in a GS), but they were still clean. I had no real complaints. I actually prefer the Schooner bar on the Vision Class ships to all the others I've been on so far (still haven't been on Radiance Class).
  19. Did the Ultimate Panoramic Suite last year on a Canada cruise. It is definitely my favorite room I've stayed in so far. I'd take this room again over the 2BR Aquatheater Suite I stayed in on a Harmony sailing. Who needs a balcony when you have all those views from the comfort of a lounge chair hanging off the side of the ship.
  20. Same setup. All JS and above will have 3 bottles. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
  21. You're still g2g for the deluxe package for your specialty coffees at Cafe Promenade. The only times they aren't included is on ships that have a full Starbucks location on them. I think those are only on some Oasis and Quantum class ships anyway, so you'll be g2g on Freedom. Not sure about the MDR at breakfast for specialty coffee.
  22. I'm personally not a fan of the aft facing CLS because the views are mostly the sports court and mini golf course. I've never had a problem with being that high up, but I'm not particularly prone to motion sickness.
  23. This is available for my Wonder of the Seas sailing in December. That price seems suspiciously low, the ship tour is still in the cruise planner for 158.99 per guest, and the internet package alone would cost more than this package at 265 USD for the whole cruise. I might just book this now and hope for the best. Edit: I made the booking, we'll see if it gets cancelled.
  24. The 2BR Aquatheater Suite on Harmony had the same half doors on the showers as the Jr. Suites do. It was... ineffective. More of a suggestion for the water to stay near the tub/shower than anything. Wound up using more towels to keep the floor dry. In contrast, the Jr. Suite bathrooms on Odyssey were amazing. Full tub, separate full rain shower with glazed window to let the daylight in, and a completely separate water closet for the toilet.
