I was kind of hoping that we'd have better luck with Royal Up going from an Ocean View cabin to a balcony of some type, but starting to lose hope that could be the case. Either way, very happy with our cabin location on deck 8 nearby Central Park. 
That said - considering printing my luggage tags just so that my cabin might change shortly after 😅

The first RC cruise Sheryl and I took was on Brilliance out of Tampa. Since then, we have sailed on Serenade and are due to do so again towards the end of this year.
Everything about these ships is incredible and although we have a preference for the Voyager/Freedom vessels, there does seem to be a certain something about the smaller ships. As has been said, its unlikely they will be replaced when they reach end of life, thats just the unfortunate effect of economics. I say enjoy them while you can.

We sailed a back to back on Jewel a few years ago and absolutely loved it.  So easy to navigate the ship.  The glass elevators - views were incredible.  The crew was outstanding and we felt there was more than enough entertainment to keep us busy.  That being said, the itinerary included a port day most days so we really only had time to enjoy the ship in the evenings.  The main reason I would not choose a smaller ship would be if travelling with kids or teens who would be bored without flowrider, waterslides, ziplines etc.  The bigger ships are definitely more of a fit if travelling with kids imo.

I’m super sad that all suites are sold out on my May 2 cruise. I was really hoping to get a Royal Up. If we aren’t getting a loft I’m at least grateful that I have a JS. Blessed just to be going 😊

we will also be on the cruise right after yours...it will be great to follow along as we anticipate our turn

trellis bar in central park is cant miss. My favorite place on the ship. I got amazing service in all the specialty restaurants. Never ate in MDR so cant comment. The Wonderland bar is awesome and a great place to get a smokerings cocktail.

I was just on her from mar 19-26th, Had a blast, service was either fine to excellent. only playmakers was slow once when they had just opened on a sea day, and sometimes the pool bars got overwhelmed. Otherwise it was no different than when I sailed her in 2019. Shes a glorious vessel

AND the 12 PM Check In window just opened for us. Today is a GOOD DAY! 

You guys were right, I couldn't modify or cancel my bid, today we received an email from Royal that our offer was accepted. 😄 
We will move from a central Park Balcony to an Ocean View Balcony for just 50$ p/p on a 14 day cruise on the Wonder of The Seas to Barcelona
Still can't believe it how cheap we got it😮 .

I always laugh when people ask about the ship movement during hurricane season (June - November). I've found that the ships move much more during the late winter/early spring when there are cold fronts moving in all the time across the area which brings the wind and rockier seas.

Is is possible? Yes. 
Are there a lot of variables (delays at customs, delays at security, ship coming back in to port late, traffic) that could cause you to miss your flight? Absolutely. 
YMMV, but there's a strong chance that this could bring a lot of stress at the end of a very relaxing vacation.
