  1. I'd love to be able to answer that for you! GOALS! Have fun and make memories.
  2. Very much so! I hope those who have purchased a cruise via this option will chime in and answer! For myself, I went to that country's site and clicked on the booking contract to see if the fine print was amenable, and was immediately informed "Your Cruise Ticket Contract and/or Booking Conditions applicable to your cruise...is based on YOUR PRIMARY COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE." Their caps, not mine. So if I have to put in US, I'll have to see how that affects the booking cost now.
  3. I was helping a friend book a cruise so I chose another country's view on RC's website. Out of curiosity, I converted that rate to US dollars, and the room is cheaper than on the US view of the website! Is there any reason I, an American, CAN'T book my room via that country's page?
  4. Live Latin from Boleros! Followed by Anywhere there is a live performance of jazz standards, old favorites (though "old" is subjective, I'm aware....)
  5. We observed the same thing. After the first night, that bar was always nearly empty. Good to know if you're looking for a quiet place to sit though, I guess!
  6. Can't wait to see what Hideaway looks like, to see if it's worth the daily pass fee. Maybe, as the ships keep getting bigger and bringing more people. Gotta enjoy these cruises before I'm finally priced out of them! I agree about the trails.
  7. About a year ago. We also went back in the 90s when it was much more primitive! The beach(es) seemed more expansive/less blocked by piers, etc. I just always feel like that Dilbert cartoon, where he is unimpressed by his vacation...because he stopped off "just before" the right spot. Since CoCoCay changed so much, I was just checking that I didn't miss a secret turn-off or anything while we were walking around the island! (not that I'm unimpressed by CocoCay, at all!!!!!! Just asking for input/opinions)
  8. Which beach on CoCoCay gives the best "white sand, blue waters, tropical foliage" kind of vibe???? Is there one? The beach we ended up at felt like a summer day at our hometown great Lake Michigan. A very good day, but is there somewhere that has the blue blue water and paradise feel?
  9. "Even though swim diapers and swim pants might hold in some solid feces, they are not leak proof. Swim diapers can delay diarrhea-causing germs, like Cryptosporidium, from leaking into the water for a few minutes, but swim diapers do not keep these germs from contaminating the water." Swim Diapers | Healthy Swimming | Healthy Water - CDC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (.gov) Swimming diapers are recommended to be worn tight to prevent any accidents during swimming lessons or swimming activities. Additionally, one question many parents have is: do swim diapers hold urine? Swimming diapers are not meant to hold a baby's pee. The diaper is specially designed to catch solid waste only.
  10. With the unlimited dining plan, diners pay $15 onboard to experience the Izumi Hibachi. Is this charge the same whether the meal is dinner or lunch? Hibachi lunch is a lower price, so is the "cover" lower than $15 if using the UDP?
  11. I wish there was a bigger "love" response for this!!! Smaller ships that have more ocean views in public spaces and restaurants!!
  12. aaaaahhhh I'm so envious! I've never been to Labadee and I looooove sea days. Enjoy! I wonder why they changed just THIS itinerary.
  13. The weekly 3-night Nassau/Perfect Day cruises will not be offering the drinks package? (Not sure what a Sampler Cruise is)
  14. Oh sure! I'm not worried; I was just chiming in that I'm having the same results as the OP. I'd just think that with the cruise being about 2 weeks out, the drinks menus would be there (since they don't change sailing to sailing). I do appreciate the tricks and quirks everyone here points out! Again, just "reinforcing"(?) the OP's findings.
  15. We sail Nov 2. The pub's menu was on the app, but none of the other bars' menus are.
  16. Sorry! I didn't see this! No - when we originally booked, the ship was going to the Dominican Republic, with two at sea days (which we wanted). Then we were notified that sailing was "canceled" and a new itinerary was taking its place (the CocoCay/Nassau route). We chose to stay with it, though we were disappointed at the change.
  17. I will be checking in a group of 6 (staying up late to try for a desired time!). To just check everyone in for the same arrival time, do I need anything more than their C&A number? Can they add all of their other documentation later? If not, what will I need at the time I check in?
  18. oh thank you! I mean the app; the cruises are in my future but activities are starting to show up (cupcake decorating, sushi-making, etc). I just wanted to make sure I'm looking in the right place - and if the classes (in some form) were still going. I'll keep watching!
  19. We are signing up for some activities on upcoming cruises and are interested in the "Learn to Play" option in the casino. It's not showing up in the cruise planner. Is this where we would find it/book it? Not sure if we are looking in the wrong place, or if it's just not posted yet. Do they still have the classes? This would be the class to learn table games, for a fee that you get back in FreePlay or chips (IIRC).
  20. The current "sale" price is the same price we purchased at a few months ago. We've taken (or have booked) about six cruises since the start-up and have never seen the price decrease after we purchased it. I even started a thread asking why I can't see "sale" prices - I only see my reserved price, but I was told there's nothing I'm doing wrong.
  21. I was just wondering why we saw $67 just 38 minutes after you saw $63. I swear, I will never figure out how to price this stuff.
  22. Two of us in our group just checked (Quantum in Sept) and both of us were shown $66.99 as the price...?
  23. My son shared a GS with his grandmother on Brilliance. She slept on the sofa bed, since he is 6'2". She is just barely 5' tall and stated that it was lumpy and ended up sleeping sideways on it. They said if the 2 people sharing it enjoy sleeping cuddled up, it's doable. If we can find any pictures of the bed made up, I'll come back and post.
  24. talk to your room steward on the first day and they will help you with whatever is possible. If you booked a suite, the concierge will email you prior to the cruise and you can ask then (again, not all requests are possible to accommodate). I recently booked a room and the RC rep told me "separation of that bed is not possible, is that ok?" and he told me we need to talk to the steward about sleeping arrangements (ie, using the couch in this case).
