  1. I was on Symphony last month and bought one of the Symphony mugs at the Starbucks kiosk. No problem using my app to pay for it. They scanned my app and I was on my way. Very easy! Hopefully it is the same on all the ships with a kiosk.
  2. We were on this cruise, too, and also in a Central Park balcony. We were in 10649 and loved this type of cabin. The ambiance at night on the balcony was relaxing and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening. I probably walked right past your table when you were at Jamie’s! We ate there for lunch at noon on embarkation day. We enjoyed our meal there. We had MTD and were also stuck in an out of the way location. We ended up forgoing the main dining room three nights. Our meals there were good, but nothing special. Looking forward to the rest of your recap and seeing if we are in the background of your pictures.
  3. We also got 11:30 check in. This seems to be the earliest that was available. Also found out our room assignment is Central Park balcony. Looking forward to trying out this type of room!
  4. We purchase individual plans from Allianz for each cruise. We buy it within 14 days of deposit date so that we cover any preexisting conditions. Our travel agent suggested an annual plan and gave me quotes (also with Allianz). Ultimately, she recommended we keep our individual plans for each cruise and continue to do that due to my concern of preexisting conditions. My husband has no travel restrictions but does deal with one issue. Since our concerns are mainly for medical coverage, I do not want a denial of coverage because of any medical claims that may happen. For us, purchasing each plan separately is better. Although, lately our cruise planning is twice a year, so still fine to buy separately. I’m not as concerned about domestic and non-cruise travel, so it works for us.
  5. I found the following this weekend while searching online. I don’t remember where I saw this link, but this seemed very helpful and is marked as being updated as of 12/2022. Maybe RCCL keeps this up to date? https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Misc/22006272_Fleet_Guide_2022_Update_LR.pdf I hope this helps!
  6. I finally got all of my cruise planner refunds which were canceled 11/18, 11/19 and 11/20. All came through at once (dated 12/8) and were posted as refunds to my card today, 12/13. Glad they all finally came through without me having to call!
  7. We did this tour on our August cruise this past summer. Enjoyed the narrated bus tour. Took us a different way in each direction with good stories by our bus tour guide. It was about an hour each direction, then we only had an hour in Peggy’s Cove. Not much time to explore. Wish the time in Peggy’s Cove was longer. Had time to walk around a bit, see a few shops, take some pictures, then back on the bus. All in all, we felt it was worth our time and glad we did it. We did the morning tour then had time in the afternoon to walk around the port area.
  8. Just off Adventure and we had the regular style insulated tumblers.
  9. Thanks for sharing! We will be on this cruise later this summer, so lots of good information. First time cruise for our young adult kids. I hope they enjoy this taste of cruising, even if just a 4 night. We did book an excursion for the morning in Halifax, but hope to walk around town in the afternoon.
  10. My husband and I were just on Oasis last week and we are going with the whole family on another cruise in August. While on the ship, we asked at guest services if we can place spending limits on our our youngest kids’ Seapass cards. She asked if they were over 15. I said, yes, then she told me to go to guest services when we board and they can place a daily limit on each of my teen’s cards. I don’t know why age matters, but this is what they told me. Hopefully this is something we can do for the next cruise. One kid will listen and not overspend, another….not so much!
  11. I did the same thing and repriced our cruise and lost our $50 OBC but netted $250 savings. I could not pay online and had to call (with an hour on hold). No problem because we saved on our upcoming cruise! However, we have now received emails every day saying we have a $0.00 balance and must call to pay. After another call (and hour long hold), I am told all is fine. Although, I now received emails for both that OBC telling me to pay zero, and for the cruise itself saying I owe a zero balance but it must be paid to avoid cancelation. I’m sure this is just a glitch, but I will be calling again today to make sure our cruise, which is completely paid for, is not canceled.
